US EIA considers adding Brent prices to short-term oil price forecast

The US Energy Information Administration puts out a trove of data every month with its best estimates for short-term movements in price, supply and demand for oil, natural gas, coal and electricity. While the oil chapter looks at worldwide supply and demand, it restricts the pricing forecasts to West Texas Intermediate crude, hardly a global picture.
Once a world benchmark, WTI has become in the past two years more of a barometer for pipeline capacity in the middle of the US than a reflection of global oil prices. Brent crude has played that role instead.
The new head of EIA apparently wants to correct that limitation in the short-term outlooks.
Adam Sieminski, Deutsche Bank's former chief energy economist, took the top job at EIA on June 4. In his first conference call with energy reporters this week, he let slip that we might soon see Brent prices added to the short-term energy report.
"We still think WTI will average close to $97/barrel next year and--although we don't have an official Brent price forecast; I'm looking into that--I think Brent will probably average about $10 higher than WTI next year," Sieminski said.
After the call, EIA economist Tancred Lidderdale confirmed that his team, which writes the short-term outlook, wanted to do exactly that.
"We are working on adding a Brent price forecast, but can't say definitely when yet," he said. "But hopefully next month."

seems like $95 is the floor price, bumaba nga ng century ark but so far sa price point na lang na yan talaga nag-aaverage brent. But i believe meron pa at least isang rollback if it remain at that price point.
Saan na mga Bwisit na leftist, dapat purihin nila govt this time dahil bumababa price kahit na alam natin walang connection govt sa price adjustment
