Although the PH is, as Yasay as put it, the US' "little brown brother"(racist undertones...nice move Mr. DFA ), do people really expect the PH to get a better deal if we get cozy with China and Russia? They have no qualms about repressing their own people -- how do you think they'll deal with us?

Is our "independent foreign policy" really being shaped according to what's best for the country...or is it being shaped to fit his own rhetoric? The latter is a very disturbing scenario.

Usually, those 2 do not interfere. With a statement like that, it would really affect the economy.

Being a neutral party in all these......

The PH might get first-line military hardware instead of the old stuff the US normally provided. Of course, there will be strings attached.

The PH dominates various shipping routes with its strategic location. It would make sense to shore up the defenses if the PH does become a Russian or Chinese proxy state.

Me effect din. Just ask Bobby Ongpin and shareholders of PhilWeb. Initially he went after him kasi oligarch daw, then he took the moral highground against online gaming, naaadik daw sa gambling pati mga bata(even though you're supposed to be a member to even enter the premises, and you have to be 21yo or more)...then, papayagan lang daw pero open for foreign players lang...then lately, parang papayagan na rin kahit locals ang maglaro.

Just look at the price action of WEB(PhilWeb), LR(Leisure and Resorts World, not to be confused with Andrew Tan's Resorts World). they really took a beating in the past few months(i've never owned these stocks at any point in time, so hindi po ito sourgraping)

Dapat age limit to casino/gambling dapat around 30 years old.

Yes. That's why I mentioned "usually". If political state is stable (or not), the economy follows through. That's the opposite in Venezuela. Politics went crazy, now their economy is following through. So, Stable Politics = Good Economy.

However, we are not in usual times.

I have a close buddy who works on VIP section and the money flow is fast! Dropping 5M a night is no big deal to some.

^If the 21yo age limit was the real issue, why not just tweak that one rule? He said he wanted to end online gaming, period...but now, parang OK na ulit, no amendments at all to the age limit.

I like Lito Lapid better and I was wrong to laugh at him before. He was just chilling, cruising during his terms. He knows his limits.

Compare to pacyou now. Nagmamagaling, kunwari Meron alam. And we know Meron din interest to run for a higher office.

Dati I don't agree with abolishing the Senate at least it was somewhat independent compare to the lower house but Wala na rin ngayon.

Its not really Utrun. Ang tawag jan eh baraha......

    From the link you posted.....

“The problem is they do not want to give us missiles. We got it from Korea, correct, but they won’t sell to us without the consent of America,” the President said.

“Our planes are for display, it had no missiles so we cannot use it. I really do not know what’s wrong with these Americans, on how they look at us… they look down upon us,” he added.

Kakampi ba talaga ng pinas ang kano?

Because SoKor does not sell the missiles. Thats like asking Toyota to sell you a Honda Civic. Then there is the issue of transit. When those planes arrived in November they had to refuel in Taiwan. Naturally to avoid an international incident, they had to come unarmed, Indonesia also bought the same planes and they refueled at Mactan with no armaments. Besides the armaments are in a separate acquisition project and there are those in the PAF and DND who prefer Israeli Pythons.

At least Lito Lapid is not trying hard to come across na Meron alam. Unlike pacyou para lang may masabi na Meron alam kuno. Kung ano-anu tinatsnong. Dapat huwag na umupo yan sa investigation. Nakakabwsiit lang.
