^ Makes you wonder what would happen if Trump wins, and Duterte cusses at him -- walking away/snubbing doesn't seem to be Trump's style. Add Putin to the mix, and you have the makings of an epic Twitter War of the Presidents

Haha! As what we have already seen, they and their supporters (propagandists) will all declare a "win" for themselves.

On a serious note, in my opinion, America would survive Trump. Their institutions are matured enough to auto correct its course. I doubt that a bomber flyby would clear deliberations.

The sad thing is, we cannot say that PH institutions are like that.

Well, we've seen how the WW2 era Germany were driven by propaganda to commit atrocities. This is despite them being educated on German universities.

How much more would propaganda do to a less sophisticated, chismis-loving, non-reading citizenry?

    - not psychologist

imho, it's not just education in the usual sense. While the less educated may be easier to fool, an alarming number of intelligent, educated people do end up in cults -- Aum Shinrikyo for example. And there Is oNe other Cult here in the PH, i just can't quite remember the name. My memory's INComplete.

Still not sure if there's a cult of Duterte, or if people are just riding on popular opinion. It's easier to support someone popular -- pagdating sa social media, marami kang backup to overwhelm dissenters.

talagang darating ang panahon na ito. maybe it's time for all of you to stop embracing logic and intelligence kasi di din naman nag-work sa society natin. if it truly works then why are we like this?

Good point. The propaganda part I get. It's just the way these people follow this guy, it's almost religion-like.

Star Trek will never happen even in the far future, if that's what you are saying. sure star trek society is nice when all are smart, intelligent and contributing. pero sa airplane na nga na 22 hours travel from Philippines to America, disoriented na tayo no matter how intelligent we are. sa space pa dala-dala natin lahat ng gamit natin sa earth, pati tabo.

it's just an ideal that Jobs, Gates and the rest of the gadgets and apps world are trying to achieve.

here's what happened when P 2k-3k worth of android phone reached the masses, the Du30 fever and the hate comments we get everyday and therefore transforming us into online debaters

    so dream on bro.

i only believe with the rotten apple in the basket. The philippines is a basket of apple, no matter how try to achieve to be not rotten, you will be in time coz we're all in this together. God did not create a perfect world for us here. He deliberately created this chaotic world for us to beat it. and when I see to beat it, meaning all forms success, failure, betrayal, gratitude, anger, hope, fear, courage, compassion, indifference - you will all be tested with each of this and how you will fare, yun lang. isipin mo na lang venue lang eto mundo natin for those test. God doesn't want us to perfect it and make it our lives coz we are created for something else in the afterlife.

^ He already is. Humaharap lang sa media to vent his frustrations; if he expects tough questions to be asked, he just lets Abella, Andanar and Panelo handle it. Pati si Domingo regarding the PAGCOR-PhilWeb/online gaming issue.

^ Thank goodness we don't have nukes, eh?

Seriously though, even with Trump as president, he wouldn't do anything brazingly provocative; most likely he'll do a peripheral strategy, e.g. delay foreign aid, review trade agreements, etc.

Putin, on the other hand... Pero mukhang hindi naman sila talo ni Duterte

Andanar gets burned again... I wonder where he got the idea to call his boss a "rockstar"...

Contrary to a Malacañang press release, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte was seated far from U.S. President Barack Obama and United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon during the ASEAN Gala Dinner in Laos on Wednesday night.

Duterte was seated between Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

Obama, meanwhile, was seated beside Brunei's Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and the Vietnam prime minister's wife.

Wouldn't be too sure. This early even former national security officials who are Republican are saying that Trump is dangerously uninformed on foreign policy and is unsuitable to be President.
