Kelangan na ba memorize ang little red book?
I guess another round of damage control is in the works...

"The Philippine president showed a picture of the killings of American soldiers in the past and the president said: 'This is my ancestor they killed. Why now we are talking about human rights.'"
There seems to be a pattern emerging:
1. Shook hands with De Lima, launched a now dubious investigation against her
2. Shook hands with Obama, then launches a tirade against the US
A swipe at Ban Ki Moon/U.N. should be in the works
i wonder how healthy our geriatric president really is. a week or two ago he was down w/ a migraine and a case of severe back pain causing him to miss several appointments. last night, he reportedly skipped another set of summit meetings w/ american and indian counterparts due to another bout of royal headache. what gives?
Padala na lang niya VP robredo sa mga international summit. Dito na lang Siya sa sitio pilipinas, squatter naman Siya eh

I guess he can really dictate the sitting position next time?
And that explains why certain fanatics on my feed started posting CNN once more.
Pag may Anti-Duterte news, they shift to posting "credible" sites targeting De Lima, Robredo, (and at points articles even bringing up PNoy and MR), and lambast "yellow media". Pag positive news na para kay Idol, balik sa CNN, ABS, etc.![]()
Thankfully, the likes of some of some tsikot members on my FB feeds post balanced views (giving credit when due).
I'm not hearing any complaints on the ASEAN budget; that it could be used for other means, why not hold it in the province, etc. Where are the anti-APEC tirades we heard previously? Seriously though, security and traffic management will be one priority.

I'm confident it could be something else that has nothing to do with his health, given his temperament. Most likely something to do with his tirade against the U.S. despite them being sided with us re: WPS issue.
Better nga siguro. In Erap's words: no talk, no mistake.

ASEAN Chairman 2017: Responsibilities For PH President Rodrigo Duterte
Quote from article:
The Role of the ASEAN Chairman
The ASEAN Chairman is expected to coordinate with the Member States. The roles include hosting high-level meetings and activities. Additional roles include monitoring and responding to the various challenges.
The chair is also required to declare one major deliverable, that the timely and effective response of the chair to urgent crisis and issues in ASEAN countries is needed.
The chairman will also be representing ASEAN in strengthening and promoting closer relationship with external partners. He is expected to carry out other tasks and functions as may be mandated.
Good luck, Mr. Chairman.
i think the chairmanship is passed along the countries that will host the next ASEAN summit; this year's host was Laos, Laotian president was the former chair.
i think the chairmanship/hosting is on rotation -- nobody applies, nobody gets elected...although as always, politics plays a part.
ASEAN Summit - Wikipedia
Some people are marketing it like some sort of prestigious award na pinapanalunan...e rotation naman, parang nagbe birthday lang. And like all birthday celebrants, tayo ang taya sa gastusin.

politically correct interpretation.
