Correct! The best and the brightest were and will be hand-picked to fill govt positions. Arnel Ignacio is already in place. i'm still waiting though for the appointments for Freddie Aguilar and Mocha.

Ito seryosong tanong na. Mahilig ka rin kasi mag hanap ng balita.

What is Digong's gameplan with the 5 generals he named and shamed? NAPOLCOM said they will finish the investigation in 5 days. The worst scenario for the 3 active generals is dismissal. NAPOLCOM doesnt have jurisdiction with the 2 retired generals. All 5 are in the Watch List and can't leave the country.

Hanggang maliliit lang talaga ata ang kaya ni Digong at Bato.

    Now what?

(Don't tell me to trust Digong because he has a masterplan that only he knows.)

This kinda went under the radar:

Former Napoles lawyer appointed to BIR

Deputy Commissioner for IT division. Ang sabi naman niya, hindi na siya connected to the law firm handling the cases. OK....

Duterte has also appointed RJ Jacinto -- yes, as in RJTV -- as Presidential Adviser on Economic Affairs & IT Communications.

i understand that he's a pretty successful businessman, so he may contribute to the economic side...but IT communications? Hmm....

According to Secretary Diokno, no more Bottom-Up-Budgeting because it has become a political tool.

BUB empowers the lowest barangay to identify projects they really need. Idea ni Jessie Robredo ito.

According to Speaker Alvarez, no more pork barrel.

Meanwhile, Congressmen will be allowed to identify projects for their district up to 80M. And who knows how much more.

Medyo controversial din siya, AFAIK; he's had deals gone bad with the banks (one being the large lot at the corner of Buendia and Paseo de Roxas)

    Pila sa BIR NO MORE

True to President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s promise to cut on red tape, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has made it easier and faster to secure tax clearance certificates (TCCs) as well as certificates authorizing registration (CARs).

Under Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 74-2016 issued by BIR Commissioner Caesar R. Dulay last June 13, internal revenue officers were ordered to process and release TCCs within two working days upon submission of complete documentary requirements.

From nine previously, only three documents were now required: a notarized application form with two pieces of loose documentary stamp tax (DST); a delinquency verification issued by the concerned BIR office; as well as a print-out of the certification fee paid through the BIR’s electronic filing and payment system (eFPS), with payment confirmation.

Philippine Marines’ Balutan to handle Bureau of Corrections - CNN Philippines
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — A marine general and veteran of the Mindanao conflict is going to run the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II said Thursday.

Maj. Gen. Alexander Balutan will leave the service ahead of his scheduled retirement in October to start work on August 1. He will replace Ricardo Rainier Cruz III, a retired army general.

Aguirre said Balutan, who belongs to the 1983 class of the Philippine Military Academy, volunteered to retire early in order to accept President Rodrigo Duterte’s appointment as Director General of the BuCor.
