Running is one thing, reigning is another. Most likely pagnanalo si GP, those who filed their case here sa SC will file their case again sa PET as her citizenship was never answered by a majority SC decision with the addition ng runner up sa election result cause the runner up will replace her in case she loose at PET, not the VP elect.

But kung si Negro ang runner up (huwag sana), i'm sure si Negro lang ang mag appeal sa PET.

With a month to go before election day, it's looking to be more and more a 2-way fight for the presidency between GP & Du30.

Not true. Don't forget what happened with binay, roxas and legarda during the 2010 VP election.

I still haven't picked my presidential candidate but I have already eliminated 3. For VP, I am for Leni.

Zamboanga siege - he was sidelined by PNoy who gave the job to sec. Gazmin. Pnoy had to fly in to zamboanga city and take charge since Roxas was not making any progress. Again he showed nothing that would give an impression of a good leader.

    Thanks for the reply.

Yolanda. Nobody contested that he's the one leading the hurriedly assembled command center. They were able to clear the roads to allow help to pass through. They were able to open the airport in a few days. Unfortunately, they cannot do much about the scattered bodies. This to me shows good sense of priorities in times of crisis. The Mayor is the trapo here, just watch the whole video.

Zamboanga. This is the second time I've heard of this. The first time was during the debate when the matter was raised by Poe. When Roxas made a counter point, she back pedaled and ask for Duterte and Binay for help.

    For closet Mar supporters:

From Closet to Case Closed: I Can’t Fight This Feeling AnyMar

I like how it acknowledges how unabashedly boring Mar is. A president's star power shouldn't be an issue if he's competent, honest, and with a good track record.

But I realized that this is the Philippines, a showbiz country. Even if Mar wins and has the best intentions for the country, there's a good chance that people won't try to be good citizens themselves, simply because their leader doesn't inspire them.

On the flipside, a leader that oozes with charisma but with no concrete platform can still win people's hearts and dedication. Though I wonder what change they can actually achieve - just look at how rude and unruly Duterte's rabid supporters are, totally different from what they're supposedly campaigning for.

To the people who say Mar is useless. Uncharismatic, yes, but definitely not useless.

The next President will inherit a... - Maritess Gozon-Viterbo | Facebook

The next President will inherit a country that is far better than how it was before 2010. We are now one of the fastest-growing countries in the world. In as little as 5 years, this administration has succeeded in almost doubling our revenue collections while decreasing our debt burden, resulting in more funds for socio-economic development, and although the results cannot immediately be seen, people are starting to feel it.

Every time I observe sorties, what always catches my attention is how appreciative 4Ps beneficiaries are, of what government has done to change their lives. In Capiz, I encountered a woman from a distant barangay who walked on foot for more than 2 hours just to personally thank PNoy. The gratitude is palpable, the moment so touching. Imagine, 4.4 million families are being helped get out of poverty (in fact, our poverty rate has decreased from 28.4% in 2009 to 24.9% in 2014 because of this program). Another thing that this administration has accomplished that is not getting the attention that it deserves is it made possible the building of almost 90,000 classrooms in just 5 years. Imagine how many students benefit from that. Another important thing is now our healthcare has never been better. Philhealth now covers all senior citizens, and they are eligible for free hypertension and diabetes medicines from DOH. This administration, through Sec. Babes Singson whom I have always admired, has also managed to pave more kilometers of roads in the past five years than Cory, Ramos, Erap and GMA combined. All because of good governance.

This is the reason why I believe that Mar Roxas is the best President we could ever have, because I know he will continue all these and improve on them. It just saddens me each time I see how he has been unfairly depicted in media, how his accomplishments have been set aside in favor of memes that aim to insult him and ridicule him. He deserves nothing of these. This is the reason I am writing this – I want people to know things about Mar Roxas that almost never make it to mainstream media. Things we do not know about him, but we should. I want you to see what I see in him and why I am risking everything to campaign for him. I cannot accept that some people may choose not to vote for him simply because they are misinformed. So here I am doing my share. We may have different candidates, but allow me to present Mar. I promise that I will also listen to anyone who wants to tell me about his or her candidate. If you will not vote for him, I want you to do it based on truth and not propaganda.

I always hear people say that Mar Roxas has done nothing, that he is a pushover, and that he is elitist and does not care for the poor and marginalized. These cannot be further from the truth. Mar Roxas has done a lot for us, in fact I do not know anyone else in government who has done so much for people who are most in need. In fact, if you look at his life in public service, that is all he ever did – serve us. He has dedicated his life to looking for ways to make our lives better. While in DTI, he became known as Mr. Palengke because he sought measures to protect consumers, to make sure that we get what’s due us. He made sure that we do not get shortchanged. He passed a law to make minimum wage earners exempt from income tax, so that they can spend more on their basic needs. This may seem insignificant to us, but for someone who earns less than Php500 a day, that is a substantial amount of money. He authored the Cheaper Medicines Law, where a lot of essential medicines have been made more affordable. Another project he spearheaded was the Salintubig Program, where he essentially made clean water accessible to 140,000 households in 235 far-flung barangays. Now people do not have to walk for kilometers just to get clean water. Mar Roxas was also the one who foresaw the potential of the BPO industry. This has helped create 1.3M jobs for our countrymen. Instead of becoming OFWs, people now have a choice to stay and improve the lives of their families.

As DILG head, he has done a lot for law and order. He was responsible for improving our gun-to-policeman ratio, from 1:9, it is now 1 gun per policeman. 94% of our cities now have PNP patrol jeeps. And to prove that we do not need an iron fist to achieve peace, he came up with Oplan Lambat Sibat, which has successfully captured 716 of our 946 most wanted criminals. There has been a 60% decline in incidents of robbery, theft, carnapping in NCR. When before there was an average of 919 crimes per week, now it is down to 350. Real results, real improvements.

Every time we hear Mar Roxas’s name, we hear Yolanda. Yes, Yolanda was a catastrophe, and yes, on hindsight, there were a lot of things that could have been done better, but we should appreciate the fact that Mar did the best he could do with what he had at the time. Foreign organizations have praised our resiliency and our rehabilitation efforts. And more importantly, we can see that our government’s response to super typhoons has improved significantly through Oplan Listo, still another program of Mar in DILG. We are better prepared now, and rightly so since climate change is a real threat.

Mar Roxas promises us citizen involvement. He promises us jobs. He promises a fight against corruption. He promises safety and security. He promises a government that enables each citizen to reach his or her full potential. Do I trust that he can do these? Yes, I do. I do because he has already done them.

We only have the local channels to blame. So full of nonsense programmes and tasteless comedies people are confusing it with reality.

You nailed it. Everything is about crime, drugs, rape, and drama. Impressionable minds would naturally believe that these are the only things that's happening around them.

Bad news is good news ika nga. With some more drama like GP and DU30, ano pa aasahan mo. Telenovela material na pala presidente natin dapat. Common sense and reason goes out the window.

Roxas has the intellect, the bloodline, and, maybe the integrity, but he will never become the President of the Republic.

We can't even be sure who between him and his wife is the president in their household. He might only be the VP there. If he wins the presidency, it will set an anomaly wherein we have a president who is only a vice president in his house. Dutertard isn't entirely incorrect to call him "bayot."

The problem with mar yung mga underlings nya. Ang dami kapalpakan bakit hindi nya masipa.

Walang tao perfecto pero ang pinaguusapan dito eh pamumuno. Sino ba sa presidentiables maganda pinakita trabaho. Its obvious si duterte and miriam (though medyo balimbing si miriam)

Grace Poe - habang tumatagal nakakatakot na ito manalo. Parang mas worst pa ito kay binay. Mahirap ang babaeng ambisyosa/opportunista.

Binay- kulong ito pag hindi nanalo.

Example ang marikina rape capital dati. Ang davao according sa news magulo 1970s-1980s. Kung pusong Etta Rosales ang presidente eh hindi kayo pwede mamuno.

Because his pedigree, intelligence, education, and experience catapult him to be the best to succeed the incumbent. But, by nature, he is overly cautious and too in the box. He is not the man in the arena. And these are characteristics of one who can hardly act decisively and swiftly in times of crisis.

IMO hyped din kasi yung intelligence and education ni Mar just because he had a college degree from a well known University in America. He is a bachelor's degree graduate. Binay, Miriam and Duterte will always be greater than him in terms of education because these 3 had a post graduate degree. A post graduate degree will always be greater in my book than a BS degree kahit galing USA pa yan. And let us not talk about his achievement in serving the People. For me hyped din yun (eg. BPO industry and Cheaper Medicine Law). So hyped education and hyped public service will not get a vote from me and from many pinoys as well.

i like gordon. he's giving the comelec a hard time. that receipt should be printed and given to the voter for verification. justice leonen made a brilliant point when he said nothing could prevent the comelec from taking that receipt back after the voter had checked if who he voted for was indeed in that receipt.

+1 here. if not mistaken he's the one & only candidate insisting that receipt should be printed out after voters cast one's vote. It only shows Gordon has no intentions to cheat during the election day.Oh & BTW welcome back atty.
