Top 15 cities with highest index crimes

    ABS-CBN News, 04/01/16 9:21 PM

IS YOUR CITY SAFE? The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday released a list of 15 cities which tallied the highest number of index crimes from 2010 to 2015.

The crimes included in the index are murder, homicide, robbery, theft, carnapping and physical injury.

    ..............

Davao, regarded by many as the country's most peaceful city, is fourth with 37,684 cases.

You can say so but Makati is host to the biggest theft of them all, Noggy family & laudering.

They should report it as a percentage to population instead of number of incidents. Obviously, the larger the population, the more crime.

I hope that those numbers will be owned by duterte if he's elected as president and had to "bring it down" as per his promise.

Government authorities should devise a scheme, apart from differentiating index and non-index crimes, to determine, or, at least, approximate, which of the present crime volume or trend is the consequence of organized crime.

Crime solution, even if rated excellent, is too late. It is not proactive; it is reactive.

Organized crime or those crimes connected with it is preventable or can be eradicated. There is a number of organized crime syndicates operating in the country today that engage in illegal drugs, gambling, racketeering, human trafficking, money laundering, economic sabotage, etc.

This is where we need to consolidate a great bulk of our resources to combat them. These criminals are sophisticated, armed, and very dangerous. Archipelagic as we are, they have unbridled access across our borders. There is no greater motivation that induces one to action but gain or greed.

The practice of our law enforcement agencies to treat the arrest of criminals as crime solved should ought to stop. Conviction is the key. Congress must pass a law giving the National Prosecution Service of the Department of Justice law enforcement function to assist our law enforcers (NBI, BI, PNP, Aviation Security, Port Police) in their case build up against these criminal syndicates.

And this is where our presidential candidates should look into once voted into office.

Also include percentage of how many of these crimes has police, military & politician involvement. I'll guess more than 50%.

Here's so far who's leading in this survey. This can be the most credible survey in the sense that ang nagbabayad eh yung survey participant and with high sample size.

I can only agree with you sir! As i've always say, dapat si Negro na endorse ni Panot and that will help Mar. After May 9, our new VP will be Robredo while Roxas will be full time with Koring giving away tsinelas.

On another note...What if it was the other way around meaning Robredo as Pres and Mar as VP? I think they both got a better chance.

Leni was my original choice for VP. All change when Duterte run for President and Cayetano is the VP. Kaya Du-Cay tayo.

Trapo yang si Cayetano. Sa tagal nilang nakaupo sa pwesto, di man lang umunlad ang taguig na nasa labas ng bgc.

Ito lang masasabi ko. If you haven't improved your life for the last 6 years and didn't took advantage of the robust economy, then the problem lies with you and not on this govt.

You're the only one to blame kung ang buhay mo Hinde umangat. Kahit sino manalo I'm sure wala pa rin mangayayari Sa buhay mo. If you need to wait for a new president para mag improve buhay mo. Sayo na may Mali.

Most people I know they have bought 2-3 brand new cars average for the last years plus either bought condos or nagpapagawa ng bahay ngayon. And there's are relatively young people.
