AnO sir?! Hindi po pala matipid ang Strada sa Fuel consumption.... wuuahhh! yun pa man din ang gusto ko (while my dad wants Innova / Hilux) wuuahhh! Maganda po ba ang Dmax?

Gentlemen, I visited the other thread, is it true na least ang Strada 3.2 at ranger kung fuel consumption ang pagbabasihan? Please give me your reaction kasi po I am insisting my dad to get a Strada pero kung maaksayado po ito sa gasolina (I travel a lot, normally out-of-town almost everyday) eh baka hindi worthy ang price ng strada sa everyday maintenance nito please

I believe those tests above were tested in Australia, which I strongly believe it doesn't apply here. Go for the 2.5L Strada.

You should test drive the trucks... Only if Toyota will allow you. Shame on them if you find out... well, how bad could it be?

Test drive the Strada, bring it in to pot holes and you'll know what I mean. A Strada should be gentle to its passengers, most especially women who really needs to protect their reproductive system.

Overstyled daw ang Strada... Well, that's true, if the manufacturer would want to change the image of pick-ups, what can you expect.

For comparisons... Please visit here nalang po.

Yun nga po ang nilalaban ko sa dad ko na matagtag daw ang hilux kaysa sa strada, kaya lang sir sa palagay mo po ba mas matipid ang strada kaysa sa ibang pick up? Thanks po sir drey.

tell your dad that the hilux is indeed matagtag. if you want the ride to improve, you need to upgrade your shocks & springs with OME's which would cost you an additional 25-60k. i recently upgraded my hilux with a full OME suspension setup and the damage was around 60k. if i were you, i'll go with the strada due to it's more comfortable ride. i don't think the strada is really that much of a fuel-guzzler, kung matakaw nga talaga yan sa fuel eh di puro reklamo na nababasa mo dito. hehehe.

Sabi Ko nga po tigas lang talga ulo dad ko, pagpipilitan pa hilux kasi daw mataas at maporma (hindi naman cya ang gagamit hehehe!) kaya lang too bad kasi sa kanya manggagaling ang pambili hehehhe! my clients also have hilux sabi nga nila matagtag nga talga, sir pasensya na ha dami ko question. Do you think I shouldgo for the 2.5 M/T or 3.2 A/T? isip ko kasi yung matic para comfortable ako since lage nga me out of town balikan pa, kaya lang yung 2.5 M/T kasi mas matipid sa gasolina, on your view sir, sa 2.5 o 3.2 ka?sorry ha...

PweDe isa pa? Sa car ko po kasi, i planned to put a subwoofer, kaya lang hindi napursue kasi nga nagpaplano na ako kumuha ng kapalit, question: gusto ko po ng magandang sounds (specially bass) pano po magandang gawin since di na me pwede kumuha ng bulky na sub dahil walang paglalagyan sa gls sports?

    Mitsubishi Triton 3.2L- 10.4L/100km
    Ford Ranger 3.0L - 10.4L/100km
    Toyota Hilux 3.0L - 8.5L/100km
    Holden Rodeo/Isuzu Dmax - 8.4L/100km

But, yes, it really depends on driving style. My Innova can range between 7--11km/li (gas).
    Thanks.
I'm getting 9.5li/100km on my manual 3.2 strada mixed city/hiway/boondocks
But then , I drive like miss daisy

Ask your dealer about the new/extra speakers
Mine told me it would void the warranty

    Maam,

Sabihin mo dad mo, mas okay tumira sa Strada compared sa Hilux. Hilux kasi is more work biased... Ang Strada kasi lifestyle pick-up talaga... Just my opinion.

The Strada is also better everyday driving kasi it's really a truck you would want to drive everyday. For example, it has the best turning radius, which is easier to park and to manuever.

Hi silverend, the figures given by ent_md are in L/100 km. Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, the lower the figure, the more economical is the vehicle. So based on what ent_md posted, the most fuel efficient is the holden rodeo and the d-max.

Hi, ent_md, I got a 3.2 strada GLS sport a/t and I average 8 km/liter pure city driving. The 2.5 strada delivers 10-12 km/L city driving based on posts on this and the other strada threads.

    behn axehl,

Matigas talaga ang ulo ng erpats mo. Strada 3.2 has all the advantages in terms of price, power, comfort, amenities, style, drivability, maneuverability, safety (ABS with EBD), off-road capability (rear limited-slip differential. The only advantage of hi-lux is the truck bed size.

just got back from an out of town trip - mostly highway driving around 100kph or so trip computer registered 87kph average- got 12.25 km/l based actual number of liters and kms run (fuel top up method). this is very good i think considering the power you have on tap.

ride was very good though it's still a pick-up. i was amazed by the handling - it took the twisties no problem not sure if it was the 265 tire width or the lsd or maybe both but the zigs and the zags can be taken with much confidence.

just couldn't get my ipod 30 gb to work with the kenwood head unit - are there only specific mp3 players that work with it?

Those fuel consumption figures were based on Ent_Md’s post and I think they’re correct considering that the strada has the biggest engine. If I were to buy a pickup now, I would choose the 3.2 Strada. It has that head-turning looks, powerful engine, spacious cabin (at the expense though of a small load bay), nice interior, and reasonably priced. D-Max has the most economical FC but it is not as powerful as the other newer pickups.
