yep, I also think that yours is an isolated case because it is the first one I've heard for the strada....both the old ones and the 2010...

its also good to hear that they have fixed it immediately.... kudos to your dealership...not too much questions asked....unlike with other dealerships wherein they might even blame you for the problem and if not they even treat the problem like they were investigating a murder case...

one more question sir if you don't mind...hehe

Is the price of the injectors printed on the warranty receipt?

I was just curious....because afaik that is one of the most expensive part of the engine....

thanks again! sorry for the many questions...

inde naman siguro sir...hehe...How much is the cost of the fenders in genevieve? kasi sir a few steps from there is goldcars na...na siguradong may stock ng fenders and you wouldn't have to wait na for it....I think it was sold for 6k...and those are plastic ones afaik...
HAHA! yup, heard about those horror dealerships wherein they would pinpoint the vehicles flaws or probs from your own driving even if you just got it.

Anyway regarding the replaced injectors..price was never indicated since in the warranty reciept but from talking with the service manager, he said it cost 5 digits each..not sure though if i heard him right that time. Guess, was too focused on them fixing it under warranty coz your right..it seems expensive.

Got the fiber fenders for 5k..sayang dapat plastic nalang

Next ko nalang papa-check yung 'wheeee' sound from the steering wheel..wierd lang they replaced the steering column already which eliminated the vibrations but left a 'whee sound'! hassle!

Thanks again for the many replies and comments

    more power to strada owner!!

Welcome to the Strada Thread. Too sad you are experiencing all these problems with your new Strada. As some members pointed out, your the first to have fuel injectors replaced that quickly in the lifespan of your Strada.

Sorry to be the devils advocate, but can you post your receipts from the dealer showing that you actually complained on these things and actions that prove the replacement. I would like to validate these claims and probably assist you and documenting this with MMPC.

But being a new member of tsikot and having your first few post in tsikot with all these problems on a new pick-up sounds doubtful. If your claims are true, then posting receipts to validate your statement would be appreciated and helpful.

For new members of tsikot as well, with Strada having problems, we are glad you are posting them here, but to substantiate your statements, can we request for proof of you complaints. If you are a new owner with no complaints, can we also request for you to post your Strada as well.

    hi sir!

regarding the castrol....I think wala pa ganong nakaka subok nito....because most of the fully synthetic oils that members use is either motul,Mobil1 or royal purple....but let's wait for the others reply...

But IMO as long as its within the grade that the manual recommends its really ok to use...but it still better to settle with a higher grade in my experience if the budget really permits...malaki talaga iniimprove....

also...if the availability of the magnatec is the easiest for you then I think its best to use it...because when you settle with the likes of motul or mobil then the availability of it is gonna be a problem in the long run....Its best that you go for Castrol magnatec na nga basta as long as its within the appropriate oil grade....

yes sir, definitely the injectors really are expensive...I even read in another car brand thread that it can even reach to more than a hundred thousand... so more than 5 digits pa nga hehe...

can you post the fenders sir? ok lang naman din ang fiber....as long as the fitment is great....

and with regards sa wheee sound....better have it checked nga narin together with upcoming PMS....baka may gragrasahan lang yan or what...

and lastly....we would deeply appreciate if you could do what sir av8or5 asked...because you can really be a big help to the future and the current owners of the strada....

But if I may say...mas ok na din sana kung mameet ka namin in one of the EB's in metrowalk and show the proofs personally...and you can join the club as well for us to help you more na din with your other concerns with your strada...

Hi sir av8or5 and sir locoroco777,

Maybe i can drop by one of your ebs this weekend to show you the warranty reciepts ive gotten the past 4 months. trying to upload the receipts but its being blocked.. anyway not really a computer wiz to do this.

Whats good though is mitsu diamond motors are doing there best to fix all probs but somehow its tiring and time consuming since there are days i stay there the whole day to watch over it or there were days i couldnt use it coz there repairing it. Anyway still happy with my STRADA because this was my dream pickup ever since i laid my eyes on it years ago. Guess, just feel dissatisfied that the unit i got isnt as perfect as some 2010 units released.

Maybe i can get your email addressses so i can send you the reciepts instead.

Do you have an eb this fri in metrowalk? maybe i can drop by there.

And thanks guys for the replies!

And for the record..gwapo parin strada and i love driving it still!

sir..please further explain what you mean. are you referring to glx and gl strada using gls mudguards? because all gls and gls sports have the same mudguards that is incorporated in their original fender flares.

    Sir av8or5 and sir locoroco777,

Here are the warranty reciepts for the past 4 months guys..thanks! Pa-zoom nalang..used my camphone.

Dec 15, 2009-problem with squeeky leafsprings

Jan 20, 2010-still having probs with leafsprings

Feb 10, 2010- Steering problem complained, replaced steering column assemby
    - Still squeeky leafsprings and adjusted again

Feb 15, 2010- Leafspring checked again for squeeks and then fixed again
    - Whistling sound in engine complained, bled fuel line and performed slql. Didnt get to fix that, they'll check resistance on injector when i bring it back
    - problem with hood latch but they fixed it also

Feb 22, 2010- unusual noise with steering..'whee' sound..didnt get to fix that.
    - fuel injector resistance replaced..supplied by mmpc

everything done under warranty. For reference purposes and not to discourage Strada owners because I for one, experiencing all this still loves my STRADA but just wants everything to run perfect coz got it BRANDNEW.

    Thanks and more power!

Among my friends, only two of us loves the Strada... the rest other brands and types na gusto!
anyway got mine last month and got too busy enjoying it... Im looking forward in joining the TSCP.

problems experienced?squeaky leaf springs! baka naman kailangan lng ng lubrication ito kasi it happens after ilang car wash! dumi kasi going to san fernando pampanga from Bataan, but I will visit the service center na rin just to be sure.

    more power guys!

Hi sir, loaded or unloaded..still made the same squeeky sound before And before i had the 20 rims..it made noise already..hehe.

Anyway now squeeky sounds are lessened or almost eliminated, it makes a diff sound from the leafsprings whenever i pass an uneven terrain..for example if i go up a steep mall parking and either left or right rear is left behind, it makes a sound from behind. Actually heard it yesterday when i picked up my plate number in mitsu quezon ave when i went up from the quezon ave road to the customer parking.

    To Marlowem,

I think either mechanical or not.. reciepts should still be given for proof of replacements

Thanks for the response and comments guys!

Hopefully i can meet you BOSB guys soon!

good day sir! its good to know that you are well enjoying your strada....just like the other 2,000++ owners of it...(rough estimation hehe)

yup...I think the poor lubrication is the culprit why the leaf spring squeaks...

I hope you can join us soon sir! =D

your post is well appreciated sir....and I think hindi naman ito magagamit against the strada's appeal to the buyers hence it might even help it because of how immediate the action of the dealership was to such an isolated problem....So I think alam din ng casa kung ano talaga yung mga cases that can destroy their reputation kapag hindi nabigyan ng tama at immediate attention...

I surely hope you can join us soon sir!

and again, for the readers of this forum I'll say this once again..

There is no Perfect Car, its just a matter of how will you deal to its flaws...

HI sir! I think kaya nawala yung sound when you loaded that amount of weight kasi the clearance between the leaf springs has been tightened which prohibits it to produce the squeaking sounds....and it has "NOTHING TO DO WITH THE UPSiZE MAGS"

Also I just thought of this idea kanina to put and end to those Pesky Squeaks...

May nakita kasi akong nag iinstall ng glass windows kanina using Silicon together with the applier gun...

So naisip ko lang....pwede siguro lagyan ng silicon yung in between ng leaf springs for it to act as a bushing of some sort? so bale ang mangyayare macocovered na yung clearances in between....and I think silicon naman is weather proof pag nilagay dun sa clearance....tama po ba? sa mga kasama nating in line sa business na gumagamit ng ganitong material?

kasi a lot has tried using OIL nawawala pero bumabalik din kalaunan lalo na pag nabasa

meron naman grease...ok nga pag common na ulan lang....pero pag naman pina underwash tapos tinamaan ng pressure washer natatangal din...

So why not silicon right? hehe

disclaimer lang....di ko pa nasusubukan toh ah...hehe but if your willing to try it...I would be willing to assist you just inform me...

To solve this problem once and for all! :evillaugh: haha!

    Any opinions BOSB's?=D
