did you mean does its doors lock if putting pressure on the brakes? if this is the case, this never happened to all the vehicles i've driven. what i know is that doors automatically lock when you turn on the ignition (feature of the automotive security).

yung sakin kasi pag pinindot yung lock button....tumutunog and nag aarm yung alarm nya....ang problema inde sumasabay yung Lock....so ang nangyayari naka arm lang yung alarm nya pero inde nag lalock yung auto.... ano kayang problema nito? actuator din kaya? hhhmmm

buti nalang nalaman ko agad na inde nagla lock kasi I make it a habit na icheck yung door handle na naka lock talaga before I go.....so sana kayu din....

anyway....about naman sa winterpine....pag nagpunta ba ako dun pakita ko lang yung warranty booklet gagawin na nila yung problem?

mas mababa conti ang 255/70 vs 205/80. the measurement of 70 height vs 80 height

mahal ba swap 8k daw from stock 205/80 to 245/70 bridgestone h/t sa evangelista?

are these new tires sir? how much kunin nila yung stock tires mo and how much cost ng tires of 245? thats one way to see if your paying the right amount. what you can do is seperate mo yung two cost.

wouldn't changing the tire size of our GL/GLX void our suspension warranty? mahal pa naman ang piyesa pang-ilalim

as long as within the standards of strada, they should not void the warranty.

sir our alarm doesn't have that feature. usually those alarms are those that doesnt lock when you switch it on, but when your about to move, thats when it locks. yung iba nga meron delayed seconds as soon as you start moving. our auto lock when all doors are closed and you will start the car.

bro..check mo muna yung settings ng alarm mo..pwede naman alarm on but the locks doesnt lock. for example, if tamad tayo mag arm ng car or nag pa carwash, we have 30 seconds yata, then the alarm will go on but locks will not lock.

actuators job is to lock and unlock the locks, therefore, if nag lock naman manual all doors, then wala ka problem with the actuators, maybe its the settings that you have to check. now if nag stock up or you hear the motors of actuator continously running, then meron problem yung actuator and rods. just bring it in winterpine, but best to contact them before going.

That feature is not in the Strada. On the other hand the lock will engage automatically if all doors are close prior to starting the engine or when dis-engaging the hand brake.

But if one of the door is open don't expect that the door lock will automatically engage. There are some vehicle that will lock automatically once the speed reach 15 km/hr.

hi strada gurus, after months of pondering I have decided to take the plunge and get a strada (I was torn between the ranger and the strada). I am getting the GLS model, now the problem is where the get the best deal, the most freebies that wont create a hole in my bank account. Below is the link of a fairly good deal, any inputs will be highly appreciated BTW, im from the province and Im contemplating of driving it from manila, para ma break in agad

On a side note, what turned me off initially was the turbo of the strada, non VGT type, sabi ko to hell with the conventional turbo, low torque and hp rating, but when I had the chance to drive one, I found the power more than adequate, \after all its a pick up and not a race car

Same problem with mine. I went to casa this afternoon kasi bigla lang nawala ang alarm at auto lock ko. The technician checked and found out the following:

1. Alarm blackout = fuse damage, replaced the fuse now alarm ok na.

2. Auto lock = suspect the module is the problem, no stocks of module in the paco casa so i have to go to their main office sa may sta.mesa kasi daw dun maraming stock and stand-by technician. So bukas agahan ko pa punta dun. Magkita na lang tayo dun. He.he.he. I got a beige glx 2010.

Just bring your OR/CR yun lang daw.

(Strada) Nope it doest lock on it's own, regarding the alarm with your other cars. The alarm of your other cars is different than the Strada's security alarm system.

Yung sa akin rin 2 weeks pa lang unit ko, kapag remote ginamit mo, ayaw mag-lock pero gumagana alarm, kapag sinusian nag-llock naman. Binalik ko sa casa lumuwag lang yata lock sa cable ng central lock. 10mins. lang ginawa ok na. Sana hindi na magloko...

Good choice sir. Ranger is also good but of course it is more pricey, lalo na sa maintenance cost...compared to strada.

Yep, It's not a racing car, but it's fast enough to take you from A to B. It's turbo is perfect for the current road conditions in our country.

where the get the best deal?

Siguro po ang sasagutin ko na lang is "how to get the best deal?"

sir, marami pong dealer na pwede kayo mag inquire and do comparison.
at marami din pong agent/sales executive kayong makikilala. for sure lahat sila magaling mag-sales talk. :D

for me, It took me almost 6 months to look for a best deal, multiple banks and different dealers & agents/sales. syempre sa tulong na din ng thread na ito.

Consider nyo po ito:

1. interest rates vs cash.
- yung mga ALL-IN na sinasabi, malaki po ang interest nyan pero yun lang hinde na kayo mag-iisip pa lalo na kapag pasok sa budget nyo yung downpayment at monthly amortization.
- cash, nagkakatalo na lang dyan ano yung free (kuno) items nyo.

2. straightforward at walang patumpik-tumpik kausap na agent/sales.
- dami ko nakausap, paiba iba ang prices, yung iba daming promises na in reality hinde naman kaya talaga ibigay makuha lang ang deal.
