Dec 15, 2009-problem with squeeky leafsprings

Jan 20, 2010-still having probs with leafsprings

Feb 10, 2010- Steering problem complained, replaced steering column assemby
    - Still squeeky leafsprings and adjusted again

Feb 15, 2010- Leafspring checked again for squeeks and then fixed again
    - Whistling sound in engine complained, bled fuel line and performed slql. Didnt get to fix that, they'll check resistance on injector when i bring it back
    - problem with hood latch but they fixed it also

Feb 22, 2010- unusual noise with steering..'whee' sound..didnt get to fix that.
    - fuel injector resistance replaced..supplied by mmpc

everything done under warranty. For reference purposes and not to discourage Strada owners because I for one, experiencing all this still loves my STRADA but just wants everything to run perfect coz got it BRANDNEW.

    Thanks and more power!

    Moderator's Note:

Because of the emergence of trolls here and in other TSCP threads, we would very much appreciate if new posters would post pictures of their stradas (you can cover the plate numbers if you wish) and other proofs of their problems (if possible). This is to prevent any doubts and establish that you are indeed what you claim to be.

We are closely monitoring those suspected trolls and once proven, will be dealt with severely.

On the lighter side of things, it only shows that others are really really envious to us strada owners... bakit kaya?

Now back to regular programming... hehehe

    Hello Guys,

Just a quick question regarding ride comfort. Is it worth it to change my GLS rims and pirelli A/T 265/70 tires to Montero H/T tires and mags just to improve comfort? Is the diference really noticable?

    TIA

    hi bro!

in my case...when I change my tires to 265/70 mas lalo sya naging comfortable...now with regards to the H/T montero tires I think mas maliit yata yun....265/65 if my memory serves me right...

so if you ask me don't bother changing it, ok na yung current pirellis mo saka parang mababawasan ng muscle ang truck mo when you change to a narrower set of tires......

I'll use the money to buy a lid and bumper instead

I'll also decrease the pressure to f: 28 r: 27 and try it

Hmmm... my current fuel consumption with 2.5 GLS automatic is 8.0 km/l using 30f 28r. My route is commonwealth to shaw everyday, via edsa... where there is usually traffic. Is my fuel economy bad?

I've also heard that if the tires are underinflated, it would also lead to faster thread wear.

chief, i think the recommended tire pressure for our trucks is at least 30PSI. ako personally ginagawa ko is 30F 35R. regarding my fuel economy, it hovers around 9.8 up to a little more than 10 KM/L. tingin ko maiimprove ko pa yun. yung sayo i think sakto lang yun since medyo sapul mo nga yung traffic sa route mo.

I'm using the same tire pressures, 30F 28R and I'm getting 9.5 km/l (GL model), so the difference is more likely to be due to the route and transmission.

TY sir.

Marami ba kayo niloload parati?

Ok thanks. Looks like I'm not doing so bad in terms of fuel economy.

    TIA

halos pareho tayo sir. ako naman galing sa Mit. Adventure GLS Sport na Gas, consumption namin is 6.7-7 Km/L. Nung lumipat ako sa Strada, dobleng tipid ang nakuha ko. Mas mura yung fuel, and mas matipid pa ang consumption.

the higher the tire pressure equates a bouncy ride. 35 in the rear is too high IMO. the rear is so light, so stick with 28-30 unless you would load something heavy.

Galing ako Hilux Surf... parang 6-7 km/l na diesel. Ngayon nasa 8 ako sa Strada. Try ko gawing 32f, 30r yung tire config ko... tapos check ko na lang yung consumption hehe. Sana malaki difference.

is it safe to use 2nd gear even from full stop? I do that on my revo sometimes (masyado kasi malapit yun ratio ng 1st and 2nd gears nun revo).

as for me sir...I keep all four at 35 PSI...reason is I want to fully maximize the tires that we got.. so I'm preventing premature thread wear...

2nd since my leaf springs are comfortable enough...I need not to deflate the tires na...
