i think you're right there. that's why the strada cannot release there high pressure turbo and vgt here in the phil which the other countries enjoying the higher hp and torque of their 2010 2.5l triton. maybe it's not yet compatible to our diesel fuel. i remember the demo unit of strada was using euro 4 diesel fuel and they don't sell their demo unit cz fuel compatible problem. that's the reasoned of delaying almost a year and a half for releasing new model strada here in the phil. they have to correct the engine and program which is suitable to our dirty and low quality diesel fuel (maybe high sulfur). that's why the nissan and toyota (early model d4d engine) may have encounter engine problem like emitting black smoke. even the isuzu dmax earlier model have problem, maybe that's why they have to change their engine (dmax) and upgrade of the same engine alterra used. although they have the same displacement.

and to add up....I even saw that demo unit....in one of the dealership....and then when I asked them to start it.....sabi nila di daw pwede kasi inde kayang i-ingest ang fuel natin dito....kaya from flatbed to showroom lang dapat pinapaandar...........kailangan daw muna dapat hintayin yung pang PHDM market na release.. that was back late 2006....

The 4th Gen Strada/Triton was launched in its source country in Thailand back in August 2005 (page 1 of this thread) leaving us with a thought of WHEN will the Philippines get this model. It seemed inconceivable that neighboring countries can still have delays at first. I peppered my curiosities back then with MMPC until i found out that the Launch for this Truck came a bit over a year later - September 2006 and i was at the launch at Fort Bonifacio. Indeed, its compatibility for our kind of fuel was tough job to be worked on and extra effort has been made to make this possible. Here is hoping that continous improvement of our local fuel will welcome more potent engines not only from Mitsubishi (4D56 4M41 D-iD HP, 4N13 1.8, 4N14, 3.0 V6 D-iD/6M31?) but from its competitors.

Prior to the (September 2006) launch, Like LR777, i tried to scrutinize the L200 Triton that was on display during the (April 2006) Manila International Motorshow by asking for a test drive. An MMPC insider advised me that what was in display was the euro spec model and its fuel is not compatible with ours... i guess they saved it for C! magazine who seemed to have fun testing it and came up with their article in time for the launch... and im trying to look for that copy... hehehe...

Come to think of it, the current engine line-up of the Strada is sufficient, non-peaky and clean enough to run around on-road and off-road. This, IMO, is a gigantic leap of faith from the 3rd Generation 4x2 Endeavor and 4x4 Strada that produced 77hp and 100hp respectively. This is not to belittle them, but rather to recognize the influx of modern technology used at the right time (euro 2 certification) and for the power-hungry.

A Warm Welcome to you, Sir thinman601. Congratulations on your recent purchase po. As of now (and from what i know), we don't have any club member who happen to be in the area. However the closest possible is the South of Manila/Laguna Chapter by Sir Mdksael and Boz... probably they can extend their territory towards Batangas (why not)! Also some club officers/members love to dive at Anilao, Batangas at their Suking dive spot so i presume you won't be left out.

From what town in Batangas are you from po? Taga-Baguio po ako but my Mother Side is from Lian/Nasugbu and Batangas City.

wow..bling bling... ganun tlga maam...the bigger the rim, the height of the tires gets smaller as well. i am assuming those are 50 series tires. my opinion, mag fender flare kayo ng body colored... it will look great

true enough, GLX indeed - noted the rear step board bumper, the plate number combination (2006) and the black tailgate cluster with the brakelamp...im glad they got the GLX- probably due to the cargo rails para meron pang hawak yung mga nakatayo... hehehehe

10 homo sapiens can easily eatup the payload of this beast... im sure carry parin siya kahit hinaruruot... hehehe...

very nice looking ride you have there... as it is, astig na po maam ang dating. but a body colored fender flare will give it a more stunning look. IMO, mas maganda rin kung papa body color mo yung housing for the front foglamps. sali na po kayo kasi medyo marami na pong mga female strada owners ang interested magpa member. i met one in winterpine in araneta who is a single mom and works as a weddings/events organizer. she installed a g3 carryboy canopy para sa mga gamit nya. she told me that if she finds time from her busy schedule eh pupunta sa eb ng club.

Whats the significant of the DENR sticker at our vehicles. Does it have any violation if removed in case you want full tint in your windshield? Thanks.

take this: i even took off my conduction sticker (front/rear) coz its a eyesore! kahit wala pa anG temp. plate ko! hehehe.. JOKE!

congrats sir out at nakaka post na kayo ng message, however i heard that you had problem installing the backup camera and lcd you bought from spyke. iniisip ko baka sa installer lang ang problem since i also heard that sir arvin cristi had installed the same gadgets and did not have any problems. nasa bahay ko kanina si manuel the installer of spyke, yung tinawagan mo regarding it.

sir, merun po, actually our current vp external is from lipa. and the "tscp divers" used to visit in anilao almost a month for scuba diving. sir join na kayo sa club para madadagan ang south chapter. i'm also from santa rosa sir. welcome na welcome kayo sir....
