^^^ to think that it is not even on the website of TMPC...

Fact: LTO has imposed emission standards must be Euro 2 for 2010. Click HERE for reference (downloadable PDF file). and I would like to quote a section of the said article:

which is why the 4th Gen Strada has been certified since its introduction in 2006 with the L300 and Adventure lineup complying just a few months ago. The Pajero 3.2 has been compliant with a step higher with Euro 3 since 2007.

Additional Note: The 3rd Gen Strada attained its Euro 1 emission standards starting model year 2002.

kudos to our hilux brothers! euro II compliant na rin pala sila...

sana naman ma-impose na ng LTO yung emission standards sa 2010... para maubos na ang mga smoke belchers sa pinas

Not flaming but I've seen one and also it was discussed in the forum before. Now the question was, what is the cause of such problem not only for the said pick up but for other diesel powered vehicle? Was the primary reason due to dirty diesel?

No idea but i think it has something to do with air:fuel mixture. Tsaka, hindi consistent e. Wala pa ako nasusundan na Navara na mausok even at high speeds although the problem does seem to exist dahil sa post nga na picture for one.

It doesn't stall/choke like the D-4D though - at least I have not learned of such an incident yet.

that's good to know sir... do you have an idea if the dmax and the ranger also comply with the euro standards for diesel engines? people have the impression that pick-ups, aside from the buses and jeepneys, are the big contributors of air pollution in the phils...

To be honest sir, I have no information about those two but Isuzu isn't known for complying to any emission standard. :bwahaha:

Ford Ranger, having Bosch CRDI VGT system, must be Euro-4 (or Euro-3 at least) compliant also.

not to make an issue, but euro4 emission standards were only established in 2006, so how can nissan already be compliant that soon when majority of the other manufacturers took a year at least to be able to comply with the standard.

just wondering, kasi kung euro4 na sila, baka yung ibang engine models nila ang compliant at hindi yung mga diesel na naka issue dito sa asia, kasi from what i know asia is still trying to impose euro2 on all light vehicles and euro3 on heavy vehicles

The engine models (mid and high power) sold here are the same ones sold in Europe. Europe, where diesel cars are also sold indicate Euro-4 compliance.

I forgot where I read that it was since 2006 but Wikipedia (albeit, not really a reliable source of info) states the same.

Actually, this Euro standard thing is meaningless unless our Gov't mandates that all the fuels sold here adhere to the same set of standards.

SeaOil has announced before that they will sell Euro-4 diesel but I don't how if their plan materialized.

BTW madam, if you have a spare time since you wouldn't be able to avail the club discount...I would suggest that try getting the flares from goldcars in banawe.....I believe its 1 to 2k cheaper than miggyboys if I recall the prices right.... =D

your very much welcome sir! =D that's the least thing we could do as a club member and as a strada owner on helping out other/new owners the best way that we can on providing them information with regards to our beloved truck.. ^_^

with regards naman sa tint....I think most of the dealers only carries 3m brand very rarely solargard and definitely not V-kool....

medium magic is ok na for the sides and rear at night and light tint in your front wind shield......but it would still be up to you....depende naman yan sa paningin mo.....=D

but in my case sanay naman ako ever since with dark tints so I installed the darker ones... =D
