I have it installed on my unit sir.....but the problem is I only got it from a private seller....it just so happen that in his trip to BKK he has some baggage weight to fill in...thats why he was able to put some more items...so I couldn't recommend him...However maybe sir dadz could help you with it as he might be able to fit in an additional soft cover in the next shipment that he will send here...(BTW sir dadz, I think sir polpol is also intrested about the soft cover)
and for the roller-up cover, it has always been available at carryboy in banawe however I wouldn't recommend it just like the other Bosb's for the reason that its not water leakage proof....even the high end pace edwards brand.....But if I recall it right..there's a new improved version that I saw in an ad somewhere in the net wherein they claim that its already water proof....so might as well check it for yourself in carryboy..

Mga ka-org,
Share ko lang experience ko about the "langitngit" noise that my 2010 GLX is making every time I drive on rough roads.
Last last Sunday after driving on heel deep floods in our area, I started noticing some sort of a noise at the back of my strada. Upon doing research about it and asking all our org mates here, sabi nila linis at WD40 lang ang katapat nung tunog na yun. So after cleaning it and spraying a generous amount of WD40 on both the left and right leafspring, nawala na yung langitngit kapag inaalog ko... yehey... mekaniko na ko... hehehe.. So para ma confirm.. nag test drive ako.. and to my dismay.. meron pa rin akong naririnig na langitngit... badtrip.. Next thing to figure out, yung langitngit made by front doors both on the left and right kapag rough yung daan.
hehehe.....nice one sir!
but just in case lang po.....kapag bumalik yung langitngit sa leaf spring wag na WD40 gamitin nyo...better if you brush the leaf spring with oil na mismo either used or unused or grease.....kasi experience ko sa WD40 pag medyo tumagal or umulan na wawashout sya.....but its in a different application hinde sa leaf spring.....so what more pa dun na very much exposed...
dun sa jack naman...naexperienced ko din yan...hehe.....pero It was the only thing na lumalangit ngit back then...hindi leaf spring...siguro yung mga nakatyempo nung lumalangitngit na unit eh inde pa na grease yung leaf springs right before it left the warehouse....kaya ganun lumalangitngit sya.....So its nothing major unlike what some people say....its just a plain old langitngit that can be easily remedied...
word of the day: LANGITNGIT....sarap bigkasin at itype...hehehe!
para di OT.....anyone can recommend me a good shop na pwede kong pag kabitan ng Reverse Sonar sensors? yung murang mura lang sana hehehe....![]()
thanks locorocco777 for the info., i really appreciate it. actually im still thinking of getting either a monty or a strada, but i am inclined to get the latter bec of its sporty looks and budgetwise. however, just like most of u bosb members,i am more of an office person than a business person, hence, mas advisable ang suv than a pick up. nonetheless,im still trying to convince myself of getting the strada kaya am still thinking of a devise how to place a canvass cover on the bed that is tied to a hook para it can be removed if not in use, without compromising its looks. yung mga old pick ups had a bulit in hooks outside the bed cover kaya it was not a problem, i also saw sa bedliner ng ford explorer pick up na may built in hooks for a canvass cover. im hopin you can give me some ideas on this query. thanks a lot bosb members.I have become a fan of ur worthy club.
my indulgence, pahabol lang kay sir locoroco777, how was ur canvass or soft cover placed on the bed sir, by tying a rope or through some clips, buttons, etc, thanks again sir
dont worry sir greyhound, even if you are an office person, the strada will still suit you. there are 4 lawyers, at least 5 doctors, and 3 dentists that are members of the club, and all are quite satisfied with the 'aura' of the strada in enhancing the over-all 'look' of a person.
regarding the hooks that can be installed to the outer sides of the bed, i think sir dadz can help you with that. they are available for sale in thailand and sir dadz knows a lot of suppliers there for the aftermarket parts of the strada.
if you are free this friday, you can dropby in Metrowalk and see for yourself the modifications done to the strada by the BOSBs.
but ultimately, whether you buy the monty or the strada, Im very sure that you'll be satisfied!![]()
I totally agree with sir TP....either of the two...either it would be a monty or a strada were sure that you would be really satisfied....
and for the soft top cover...mine is installed with combination of the one that you mentioned which is the button and the other is the clips...
the clips are the flat one types that will fit under the bed liner.....it will be sandwiched between the bed's gutter and the liner...and this clips contain the other half of the buttons wherein you attach the canvass that contains the other part of the button....
here are some pics....
BTW the brand is "AEROKLAS"
But again as what sir TP said....if your free on one of the coming friday nights you are always welcome to see our trucks in metrowalk...and We will be more than happy to help you with your decision... =D
