Please let me enlighten you on your statements, Because I found it really unfair to the brand, for you to throw such immediate comments without consulting the said issues to the dealer...because your case might be an isolated one.

So here I go...

let us respect his opinion sir. His experience led him into believing that. Let us put ourselves in his shoes (sana lang hindi maliit). lol. I myself also hate another brand (ISUZU), because of my experience.

will make sure we get our TSCP membership in next week when we get back from out of town...we appreciated the information and exchanges that we got (as a lurker!) and would like to keep the group going even if we just become an additional member of the club.

some advice- am looking to install a bull bar or bumper guard that will provide beefy protection but will not compromise Airbag- can you guys reco different brands that would look good on a gls? thanks

for the bull bar or bumper guard, two of our members fabricated their own design. you might want to PM mdksael or bigblock to see their designs... I can assure you of the quality of the workmanship and the reasonable price compared sa ibang well known brands.

meet up on friday is still pushing through, we anticipate around 3 new members on that night. we also have another member who will have his daughter christined on saturday and he has graciously opened his home and event for our club. location is at Paranaque. goodevening bosbs! ganda ng second venue last friday ahh... anyways, konsulta lang ako sa mga naka-montero na mags. first, what is a reasonable price for a set of 4 mags with tires (as in 99% new tires)? second, does it fit perfectly, meaning no modifications need to be done? third, how about the ride? and lastly, how about the spare tire, do I need to buy a new one (mine is the 205-80R16). whew! dami tanong! maraming salamat in advance...

1. mas ok ba na personal mong kunin ang unit sa dealer?
2. ano ano ba ang dapat i-check kapag kukunin mo na yung unit?
3. kelangan ba i-full tank agad pagkakuha ng unit?
4. ano po ba best na protection sa paint/windshield to maintain yung kintab at iwas rust. (kasi initially sa tapat ng house lang parking..ginagawa pa kasi yung parking)
5. naka-rust proof na kaya yung pang-ilalim ng strada?
6. masama ba talaga ihataw agad ng 100kph mga bagong unit?
7. may malaking difference ba kung synthetic oil ang gamitin instead of normal mineral oil?
8. Ano preferred nyo na gas station for diesel?
9. Tint: Ano po yung tint na kapag nasa loob ka parang walang tint nakalagay, pero sa labas hinde ka masyado kita. 3M ba ito? light, medium, dark?
10. Pwede ba sumama sa next venue nyo? :D

btw, possible glx variant...hopefully this week maging ok na yung deal...hinihiritan ko lang ng konti yung SA.

2. ano ano ba ang dapat i-check kapag kukunin mo na yung unit? you may want to back-read on this.
3. kelangan ba i-full tank agad pagkakuha ng unit? not really
4. ano po ba best na protection sa paint/windshield to maintain yung kintab at iwas rust. (kasi initially sa tapat ng house lang parking..ginagawa pa kasi yung parking) BigBert's Optiguard.
5. naka-rust proof na kaya yung pang-ilalim ng strada? yes, according to MMPC. additional rustproofing is optional.
6. masama ba talaga ihataw agad ng 100kph mga bagong unit? just read the manual for additional break-in recommendations.
7. may malaking difference ba kung synthetic oil ang gamitin instead of normal mineral oil? I suppose, but regular change oil is the key.
8. Ano preferred nyo na gas station for diesel? Petron, but to each his yan.
9. Tint: Ano po yung tint na kapag nasa loob ka parang walang tint nakalagay, pero sa labas hinde ka masyado kita. 3M ba ito? light, medium, dark? 3M magic tint.

- actually anyone can get the unit from the dealer so long as they have all the necessary authorization forms that your dealer will require. contact your dealer. but it is always best to get your own vehicle so you can do your own inspection, that way you know what you get.

- the dealer will give you, or at least show you a check list which you can do on your own before you bring out your unit

- may shop na nagoofer ng paint protection, Big Berts, we have members who have availed themselves of this service. as for teh windshield, there is nothing out on the market yet that will keep out water stains

- yup, they have already been rustproofed

6. masama ba talaga ihataw agad ng 100kph mga bagong unit?
- you can do until 120, pero wag nagbababad, dapat nilalaro. parang ine-exercise yung makina. madali lang naman ubusin yung 1000km eh.

7. may malaking difference ba kung synthetic oil ang gamitin instead of normal mineral oil?
- yes, big difference

8. Ano preferred nyo na gas station for diesel?
- ako personal preference is petron. basta wag lang yung mga small players for teh mean time

9. Tint: Ano po yung tint na kapag nasa loob ka parang walang tint nakalagay, pero sa labas hinde ka masyado kita. 3M ba ito? light, medium, dark?
- try to contact car accessories shop, they have a lot of brands to choose from.

Matanong ko lang mga sir, saan nyo ba mare-recommend mag pa install ng backup/parking sensor? Kung sa labas ba mavo-void warranty ko? Muntik ko na maatrasan yung sasakyan na naka park kanina... sobrang lowered kasi yung kotse at nawala sya sa paningin ko nung umaatras ako.. di ko tuloy na realize na may kotse sa likod ko.. buti na lang may nag warning sakin na tao na malapit ko na mabangga yung kotse... hehehe

first, di ako naka monty na mags pero hope i can help you.
sa cebu theyre selling it at around 30k to 50k yung monty mags with tires fresh pa kasi sa casa mismo bumili ng bigger mags.

you do not need to modify anything for the monty mags to fit our stradas.

not familiar with stock tires sa monty pero id same sa stock tires ng strada(which i doubt) then you dont need to buy another spare tire. or you can trade in your 4 tires + 1 spare for 5 pcs monty. my SA here offered me that i just dont know how he made that possible hehe

sir, montero sport if i am not mistaken is 17", so talaga iba ang size, but the fit there is no problem sa Strada, ask mo mdksael, he was the first member to use that mags. next is oks lang yung spare tire mo, anyhow, spare naman eh and you wont use it unless na flat ka, but if you got the money, then go with same size and just rotate them every 10k KM including your spare tire.

sir any place in banawe pwede yan, just look for the back up sensors you want and have them install it. ma void naman warranty ng electrical ninyo once meron splicing or anything installed sa ride ninyo. ganun talaga yun. but best if nasa meeting ka this friday so makita mo in person ang ibat ibang sensors installed sa mga rides ng members.
