Ive been reading this thread (and others on the web regarding Strada). After comments from this forum and doing test drive, i've finally decided on reserving a unit (2.5 glx) My SA informed me that end of month at the latest ko makuha yung Truck/Car (or Car/Truck). I opted for black. I guess 2009 model na din yung ibibgay sakin (yung kay sir romdm is already 2009)

Question lang gurus.

1) with the issue of uneven height, kayang ba syang ma-check by unaided eye inspection alone?
2) what are other things i should check with the delivery of the truck?
3) finally, i'd like to join the Club once i have my truck (to get tips and tricks).

btw, manila based ako.

With regards doon sa uneven height, you'll need a measuring device to check. My Strada has a height difference of 5/8" at the front. I only found out when I measured the heights as the stance looked normal naman. Maybe if the difference is 2" then that's the time you'll notice the height difference just by looking at the unit.

That's nice bro, but ang putik is a mark of offroader hehehehehehe mas maputik mas maganda. Any way next month around 8-9 i will be attending a off road clinic pag natapos send ko sa iyo yung training manual para me guide ka makaka dagdag knowledge yan sa off road and give a copy to all BOSB.

A dirty Strada, after doing some off-road stuff, is nice to see indeed . However, I also drive it to the city and I want it to look clean but after having the mud and dirt washed off the side panels and the side mirrors get easily splashed with dirt from moist and wet roads. By making the fender flares wider the splashes will be limited to the wheel wells and I am sure the wider fender flares will also improve the look of my Strada .

*LuisSantino- to make sure and you want to measure the height always from the bottom or top of the mags up to the fender, and make sure na nasa flat surface ka. Welcome nga pala and it is a "truck" or "rig" but not a car hehehehehehe. Enjoy po.

Yes, please take note of the advice from my fellow BOSBs regarding the uneven height. You are the second 2009 Black GLX owner i know- the first being Ramz4219 who bought his truck last month. I presume you read the review of autoindustriya a few months ago? They used a White Strada GLX 2008.

The Baguio Fun-Run EB will be the perfect reason for you to go on break-in... hehehehe

*G01 - looking forward to see how the Extended Flares will look po. This will be the 2nd BOSB-initiated fabricated accessory that i know of- the 1st one is from Wakeboarder with his 4-foglamp bumper mounted bracket!

anybody here encountered here malfunction with their alarm system? (tri diamond logo remote)

the alarm system can't unlock the doors when you press the unlock key on the remote.
eto pa ayaw mag start nung strada, not lowbatt, no problems in the fuse... parang walang kuryente pagdating sa starter motor... pero pagpindot ko sa unlock key sa remote nag start...

magandang araw mga strada owners, Just got my 2009 cool silver glx strada.Red sana pina reserve ko but due to the lauching of montero sport medyo wala atang production sa thailand ng strada, well thats what the SA told me. Baka sa december pa ito dadating, but I like the cool silver as well, just had my 1000 Km sa casa, I noticed something after lumabas sa casa, before sa 1000 kms ang average FC was 10.8 km/li but after 1000 ang average FC nasa 8.3 to 8.5 km/li. Is it normal? or kailangan ko ibalik sa kasa to for check up, I just used mineral oil and the cost was around 2,300 pesos. Pina check ko ang height and they told me na ok naman. Ang pinaka malakas na takbo was 100KM but for just a few seconds. Im worried with the FC. Would it be possible na na adjust ng casa ito or normal lang ito? hindi ma traffic ang cebu. Please advice sa mga naka experience or bago ang case ko. salamat in advance

Bro G01, ganda tingnan pag madumi. Tanong ko lang kung ano offset ng DC rims nyo. I think you've got 265 na A/T tires there. Is this a preview of the Baguio funrun? Kakayanin ba to ng H/T tires? Wala pa kasi budget for A/T tires. TIA.

congrats on your new ride. most likely they adjusted some things on the cpu box of your ride... observe ninyo muna sir..but your current FC is average of city driving. but you can always have your casa check it, because you documented your FC before and after your 1K PMS.

baka sa remote lang mikko. try to use your spare remote key.

Updates lang mga sir.. there is a new memo to all dealer form MMC that effective last week that all strada 2.5 will no longer use the ordinary oil, for synthetic oil every 10k change oil , replace filter after 5k.. for the 3.2 engine mandatory 5k change oil synthetic oil is required... grabe na mahal magpa change oil pag 3.2 engine...i saw the memo at citimotors las pinas.. subukan ko na ma i xerox then i will post here...

wow magastos yan para sa mga naka 3.2, tama ba na every 5K mag change oil na i lang litro ang kinakain nag makina sobra naman sa negosto yan.

oo nga.. kawawa naman mga naka 3.2 engine.. 9 liter pa naman oil nyan.. kung sa kasa yan 6k+ yung oil plus filter pa 1k plus 2.3K regular check up fee.. so, mga 10k pala kailangan mo for regular check up palang .. patay ang bulsa!

aside from the memo, there must be a technichal explanation for this. di lang mga naka 3.2 GLS Sport affected. pati mga naka 3.2 Pajero 2004-present and the all-new Montero Sport 4x4 Owners din... naku!

*mikko, yes, try using the spare transmitter and it might work better. or it might need to be reset kaya...? also, try meeting up with the TT Guru soon for his occular inspection soon... hehehe
