At G Audio sa Bonny serrano they sell the Sony Xplod sa slim series 10 inch and 8 inch, sinukat namin kasya but i'm not really in good terms with the Xplod brand.

Sa LRT audio sa Autocentro in cubao, they are offering me a blaupunkt 8 inch powered sub. may nakakabit sa sa sub na amp and wala ng box. very good sound quality!!!! maganda ilagay under the left or right front seats or pwede rin sa likod but i'm planning to put it under the front passenger seat kasi ginagamit ko yung cargo area ng rear seat. they are offering me the top of the line tweeters, midrange, coaxs and powered sub all for 18k...ok na rin! pero sa iba pa ako tumitingin dahil mejo nababastusan ako sa tao dun. i'm gonna check naman soon sa tabi ng cash and carry sa may osmena hwy makati

bro, mukhang hindi top off the line ang inooffer sayo kung 18k lang all in......can you remember what brand ba yung binigay niya sayo???

if i am not mistaken, it would be the thb200a...mejo hindi ko na rin maalaala...susubukan ko na rin yung alpine na kamukha nya and yung avt na kamukha rin nito...
basta sir, kung para sa inyo, lata ang tunog niyan, mas lata pa ang xplod...
lahat kami ng mga kaibigan ko ayaw sa xplod because of either easy damaging or pangit tunog...blaupunkt is the "not top of the line but good enough dahil estudyante" gear...hehehe

I see. Di pa ako nakakapag-audition ng Xplod so I can't comment on the sound quality. Pero for "estudyante gear" the blaupunkt is indeed good enough. I think ganyang model rin ng Blaupunkt nasubukan ko. Baka di lang maganda yung headunit na pinagkabitan dun sa pinuntahan ko kaya tunog lata siya.

diba may isang strada dito na nagpa 8inch na xplod and box sa likod? sir kamusta naman? hindi kasi kasya sakin ang ganun dahil may rear window..

I went to Kid Audio this afternoon para magpagawa ng sub enclosure for an 8" DLS sub since 8" lang kasya, tsaka clarity lang hanap ko. Balak ko kc DLS lahat speakers n sub. Dun ilalagay sa gitna nung rear legroom, removable. Pero nxt week ko pa mapapa-install.

Bro si mr_incredible and boybit nagkasya naman sa likod ng rear seat. Ano sir yung model ng strada mo? kung GLS, mukang masikip nga dahil may mechanism pa ng rear window sa likod ng seats mo. if GL or GLX, kasya dyan maski hanggang 12" (as with mr_incredible i think).

intay nalang natin post nila para they could point you to the right direction kung san nila pinagawa yung kanila.

Yup, naka 12" RF sub ako behind the back seat. Unfortunately, dahil may rear power window yung ride mo, hindi yata pwede yung katulad nung sa kin. Maganda yung idea ni Boz for a removable Sub in his post above.

Try mo rin magtanong sa ibang audio shops like kay Jeff Tan or Mickey about the possibility of installing a boxed sub under the passenger seat with the amp under the driver's seat. Baka meron silang budget setup that would not compromise quality.

ako sir one week din lang....that was last year around april....2.5 GLS majestic red yung sa akin. the color and the model was readily available at that time kaya hindi natagalan.....

Sir.....ano po bang color ang kinuha ninyo at saang dealer po????

i got mine last december 18, 2007... less than a week lang nakuha ko na unit ko

One week lang din ang hinintay ko para makuha yung unit ko. The demand for the Strada then might have been less than the demand for it now. This may probably be why mas natatagalan ang pag-acquire ng mga unit now.

mine is a 2.5 GLS.....cant put a subwoofer at the back of the seat.....
what I am using is a 10" pioneer powered subwoofer placed underneath the driver's seat.....i forgot the model already since i have been using it for three years na......i installed it from my previous pick-up and transferred it to the Strada when i sold my old pick-up.....okay na rin naman ang tunog but of course hindi siya pang SPL....for clarity pwede na siya pero average lang and hindi pang compete.....bottom line....better than stock set-up.....it was around 10K when I bought it......hope this helps

meron sir! driver and passenger. At least for the 2007 models and above. di ko lang sure yung previous models.

thanks po for confirming it. apparently in the MMC website, only the gls, gls sport lang ang may airbags under the specs. this is a very good news actually. cheers!

Im also planning to put up a removable sub in the middle legroom portion but extending up to the handbrake......papabiyak ko yung compartment sa may handbreak to accomodate the sub......tsaka para tumaas ng konti at maging armrest na rin....walang kuwenta yung compartment sa gitna except for storage purposes....di mo na siya magamit as armrest when driving.....planning to get 10" RF slim lang unless lumabas yung super-slim sub ng JBL plus Hifonics amp siguro..

estudyante gear ba hanap mo bro....try mo yung "targa" brand......sobrang value for money......or if you have additional budget....ok nga din ang blaupunkt or kicker at infinity. basta magaling installer mo, regardless of the brand of the equipments/speakers maganda ang kalalabasan niyan.

ask ka sa jetcar audio banawe (jeff tan) or Mickeys autosound marikina(mickey pascual) or sa blueprint audio (flipperds) bicutan kung ano ok na set-up based on your budget....they can work around your budget at hindi ka mapapahiya sa outcome ng set-up mo dahil mga batikan yan....

Pero regarding a boxed sub under the front seats.....malabo yan as per mickey pascual.....unless its a powered-sub.

Hi sir Si 06, this we have to ask the MMPC. I have not read anything about it nor come across it, in my readings. Sa group naman namin, wala pa akong alam who had experienced triggering their airbags. Wala pa naman naaksidente sa amin. At walang maaksidente, kasi maiingat ang mga BOSBs, di ba mga kapatid?

But that feature is rational. Baka bagong introduced feature yan. And a new innovation for added driver and passenger safety. I hope me ganuong feature na ang mga strada dito.

To my understanding- there is no function for the windows to open after airbag deployment.

What i may know is that the doors unlock after the collision to aid in door opening as one of the functions of ETACS. the doors are also jam resistant. but i could be wrong.

I think 8" sub enclosure (custom-built). Better if removable.

Ito talaga ang best option for now if you want a sub in a GLS or GLS Sport.. kung kani-kanino na ako nagtanong, C&J, Jefftan, JC Car audio, etc.. ito lahat ang suggestion nila. 8 inch sub nga lang ang kakasya unless gusto mo pacustomize yung center console.

Pero pag lumabas na ang JL na TW5's, sa tingin ko kakasya na sa rear portion ng backseat, 2.5 inches mounting depth e. grabe kaganda itong sub na ito.

sir, ive waited almost 2 months sa 2.5 GLS dahil walang stock and 3rd week pa april avaiable until we finally decided on the 3.2 which was delievered 1 week after. maybe, wala na rin available units ang 3.2 that's why you have to wait. try getting in touch with MMC philippines.

HANDLING ISSUE

I tried some off-roading yesterday. it's not actually off-road but a long stretch of gravelled road with plenty of potholes. i noticed that when the front tires hit potholes or bumps the truck drifts, slides, sways - i cant describe it well but to say the least, handling is compromised. this also happened on asphalted roads where some section has pronounced corrugation/ small waves (perhaps the enigeer is a marine engineer) and the truck drifts espcecially on road bends. this could be noticed at speeds ranging from 50-70 kph. of course going faster would be dangerous. my tire pressure 30psi.

this phenomenom was primarily the reason i disposed by 2001 strada when even the casa cant give a good explanation.

Have anyone noticed/observed this?
