Bro, I guess its the LSD of our strada when there is a sudden jerk in our accelaration. I also experience this when my rear wheels slip. My SA explained it to me when I noticed the "thug" when my rear wheen slips. Just to be sure have a 2nd opinion.....

I am now a proud and happy owner of a black '08 GLS sport 3.2 a/t.

But here's the dilemma, shortly after driving my pick-up for a couple of days I noticed that at around 20km/h when I press and depress the accelerator there's a Thud sound emanating from under the front. Parang sa pinakailalim ng front part ng vehicle by the wheels or under the engine. And sometimes even at the back (as a service advisor in Mitsubishi noticed).

When i apply the gas there's a "Thggg" sound and when depressing the pedal, "Thgg" it will sound again. It doesn't sound all the time pero pag na-timing ko, i could produce the sound consistantly. It seems to exist only at a certain range. It only appears when driving on a level surface. But non-existent when driving on an incline or at high speeds.

Parang if I moderately apply the gas, ayon may sound na. But kung super gentle ang apak and bitaw sa accelerator, wala.

I was told by my Service Advisor that it was "normal" on 4x4 vehicles. I told him we had an older Pajero and it was 4x4, I never noticed a sound like that (then again I only drove it everyday for a month which I think is sufficient). Then he tells me (another advisor said to him) that sa Strada normal daw yon but to make sure, he will test drive two more Stradas to confirm.

I want to go back to the casa armed with as much information as I can get and I thought this was the best venue to gather that information.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any ideas? Thx in advance.

Hello sir Magnetik, I also have the same concern when I bought and rode my strada the first time. Mine's the same variant as yours, but 2007 model.

I also experienced and still experiences that "thug" sound but less often now after 5 months driving it with odo reading of 3800km. The sound usually comes out if you step on the gas pedal and accelerate a bit rapidly and releases it, exactly as you narrated. I don't experience it when I accelerate relatively slowly. I didn't really mind it and took it as "normal" for the strada, considering that I have nothing to compare it with because my other ride is a Honda CRV, 2nd gen, manual transmission. The other A/T vehicle that we got is a Crosswind XUV which is my wife's service vehicle and I don't get to drive it that often.

Actually, I'm not bothered by it. Overall, I am truly pleased with my 3.2 Strada. But if you do find out that that is abnormal and had it remedied, please let me know, too, so I can take it up with my casa on my 5000 PMS.

My apologies if I'm not much of help. I think we are only a handful 3.2 A/T owners here in this thread.

Yup, ginawang Hummer look alike lang ng mga Thailanders... For the army ata eh... Pero underchassis, engine and transmission, even the steering wheel, instrument display, are from the Strada.

Magnetik, 3.2L M/T sa kin, bought Nov 2007, 4000km odo. Same ang experience ko with sir ooba99. Pero both of you guys have A/T. Usually when I'm on 1st gear, tapos bigla accelerate. Napapansin ko rin kung bigla apak ng clutch to shift to 2nd gear. Kaya ginagawa ko, 2nd gear na lang derecho. Alalay lang. Kaya naman.

yup.. yung 6spoke.. i got an offer from a shop 50k (4 tires + 4 michelin A/T tires) ok ba yun?

kasi we'll be getting our strada next week.. GLX color black.. our plan is after releasing it we're going to change tires and put a roll-up cover. kaya im asking your opinions tnx guys for the help!

Kung gusto mo, meron ditong binebenta sa San Pablo City, mga 20k+ php original stock mags and tires ng '07 Strada 3.2 GLS sport (265/70R16 bridgestone H/T). Parang bago pa, kasi yung may-ari, nagpalit kaagad ng 20" rims pagkabili niya nung strada.

Naka- stock lang sa Yokohama service center kasi hindi maibenta. Maliit kasi yung hub center hole at di kasya sa ibang sasakyan.

Brothers, ganyan din experience ko when i accelerate sa 1st or 2nd gear then bigla bitaw sa pedal without depressing the clutch. manual 2.5 yung strada ko... i guess normal lang yung 'thug' sound na yun. if magagawan ng paraan to remedy that sound, please inform us.

regarding the TPMS, it's not supposed to send a warning when immersed in water, yung akin nalulubog nga 3/4 gulong at least once a week pero never nagka ganyan.... like what everyone else is saying have winterpine check it, at wag ka papayag na magbayad for anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!! masyadong bata pa unit mo para magkaganyan!!

br0, san ka kukuha?nag hahanap ako ng 17" na rims na ralli art pero yung web o kaya porma ng rays te37 pormang 4x4 na rims, e na hihirapan ako mag hanap puro 16" and 18' na..ni lalagpasan yung 17"
e 17" sana gusto ko para di nako mag palit ng gulong pag mag papalit ako ng mags, magastos na eh..

the instrument panels? oo nga, pang pogi points! what are those 3 other gauges...? siguro voltmeter, amp, oil pressure perhaps... ? hmmm... no need for me na siguro... just let the RV meter show the digital compass... just be sure to explain to impress her! again, laging handa!
