Wow, this is great, sir siakolpasaway!

But how did you manage to do this? I have tried all techniques to improve my fuel consumption but the best that I got from my 3.2 a/t is 9-11L/100km highway driving and 12-13.5L/100km city driving.

Probably, you can share your driving style and technique to achieve this. Thanks.

    Mitsubishi Strada 2007 [Merged]
    To:
    Mitsubishi L200/Endeavor/Strada Owners & Enthusiasts, 1991-present

i think this can be one of the agendas of the upcoming EB.

    Strada tsikoteers... any response?
I agree that the official name of our club be part of the agenda and discussed in the coming EB.

In the EB, aside from the other topics that were already suggested, I hope we can lay down what our objectives are and why we are forming this club. I hope more strada owners can come so it will be a lively and judicious discussion.

With regards changing the name of this thread, sorry, but I have my reservations on this, sir ianmitsulancer. I prefer the current thread title so as to make our interest remain focused, as well as not to dampen the enthusiasm. IMO, if there are any changes to the thread title, probably adding 2008 to the title (to read "2007-2008 Mitsubishi Strada") will suffice to accommodate the subsequent strada owners of 2008.

One thing that I constantly do for an economy run is not reaching speeds above 80 kph. Try doing it yourself, there was a time it computed 6.8/100 but it was a downhill road. I guess the average daily run would be around 12 to 13 km/l.

btw, i have installed vtx hid the one's with double hid bulbs. Better visibility at night since a always drive long distance drivings at night.

This has something to do with the CRDi system. now if hard starting stil occurs even if you depress accelerator and wait for the glow system to preheat then you should have your unit checked. Battery is GS and is a low-maintenance type not a maintenance -free so dapat you should check solution every now and then.

thanks po sir boosted...i'll try what you said.

    *eslonblue,

for the price that u quoted, 2008 na ba yun? there may be some agents who may have "anointed powers" from their bosses on additional discounts, or sometimes, diskarte din ng mga agents din, isn't it? i asked motorplaza and no response on the 2008 strada pricing.

i'm encouraging you to join the EB learn more and meet new friends from the forums. kung payag sila, you can ride/drive their stradas. but i won't be there kasi my boss didn't approve my leave and i will b coming all the way from baguio in case i'l see you all.

thats ok... i understand. i think ur correct bcoz there are other threads of the strada of earlier models... its just that its not as active as this thread. we can also say GEN III Strada Owners and Enthusiasts...

for the objectives of this club... maybe we can pattern it from the thai counterpart- as what drey said- similar to what thailand is doing. but most of all. to also consider the tagline of MMPC for the Strada: It works, Its fun!

update on the manual: i am still waiting for a reply from my friends for the manual. thank you for bearing with me.

Mr. Secretary General av8or5, if u can, show the 2008 Strada Brochure on the EB to see the 17" mags, the NEW JVC HU and the reported Ralliart mats. Im waiting for Motorplaza (here) to have copies of that... we still have the current one with the 16" 2007 mags for the GLS Sport.

it seems that there is A LOT to be discussed on the EB, huh?

do join us sa eb even if wala strada. its best to know the car your about to buy from the owners themselves. bro, contact my agent, she can offer you better than above (is the 3m tint kasama full windshield?)my 3m tint kasama full windshield for free din. . my lto was free and other things pa, but glx lang sa akin..i bet for your gls meron pa more freebies...ask mo rin si boz...he bought from my agent as well. i also visited citimotors makati and ganyan din bigay sa akin, but my agent from citimotors las pinas gave more than what makati agent could offer. you can private message me for her contact number or back read as I have posted her number (with her permission of course). tell her I referred you, she knows what to do to give you the best offer she can possibly give.

Hi guys, just bought kanina ng utility box by rubbermaid, yung tag 8k php sa true value pero just got it around 4kphp sale kase sila lahat ng rubbermaid products. hindi kaseng ganda ng sa carryboy pero it will serve its purpose i guess, now ang problem ko is pano ko siya ikakabet ng maayos, kasya siya sa likod and pantay naman yung taas sa bed ko, ask ko lang baka may alam ko magaling mag ayos ng mga ganito and mga magkano budget? kase kung wala balak ko i chain na lang dun sa hooks ng bed e then double adhesives para hindi gumalaw, pero i was hoping na makabet ito na parang yung sa carryboy na mahirap nakawen and stable yung pag kakabet para hindi umuga uga.

hmmm... this is interesting... a good deal, i must say...

i presume that the box would simply have curved walls so screwing it to the wall of the pick up bed will be tough. also, If u got a GLX, GLS or GLS Sport, you will have to deal with the tough-as-nails hard plastic bed liner. Looking at the cargo box of my friend's 2003 Strada A/T, there are 2 big screws bolted to the bed wall. you can lift it up, say 5mm and pulls itself back to position. it might break if i exerted more effort...

i want u to back read also... i believe that at one time, the cargo box was the topic of disscusion some months ago- i wasn't too active on this thread back then.

drop by the EB on the 26th and i believe drake (?) has a cargo box. notice the type of screw - (2 of them) that carryboy used and find a counterpart, going back to the contour of your cargo box, it is a challenge for you to fabricate an block/adapter from the cargobox wall to the pickup bed wall- of hard plastic or wood perhaps... to prevent unecessary movement. then screw it- 2 of them. once you bore a hole on the body will void the rustproofing warranty- just like other selected pickup bed accessories.

how is the locking mechanism pala? by key or u will put a padlock?

if all else fails, im very sure you can find other uses for that box... a treasure chest?

good luck bro... sensya na... being in the call center and growing up in english speaking schools took over my native tongue...

at this time, the batch of 08 stradas must be inside the ship to be distributed from the plant- port of entry is the seaport of batangas.

a while ago, i saw a blue GLS Sport purchased from Motorplaza last month with carryboy sport lid and visors- i started to drooooollll and daydream on the spot!!!!!! i was bright-eyed and dreamy !!! i couldnt stare at it for long kasi someone was inside. but... wow! i wanted to take picture of it but there were a lot of people. too bad... back to reality

    ...but make mine silver!

just came back from tagaytay and was able to drive my car at 145kph. kayang kaya pa to go faster, but takot na ako, i have thinner tires and dumadami na cars sa harap,so i had to slow down. this truck is a good sports truck. quiet pa rin sya with good aerodynamics.

eslonblue: just update the post regarding the upcoming eb and will see you there. btw, replied to your email. you can also PM me your cell so I could introduce you to all or just approach us at the said venue. Friendly naman kami. join us even if wla ka pa strada..but i bet when you see all these nice strada, you will be excited to have yours (for sure)

Bro, kaya yan hanggang 180kph, pareho lang tayo ng engine. Mag-upgrade ka na ng tires. Your engine is much too powerful for your tires. Safety is more important than warranty.

eslonblue, av8or5 and I have the same agent. But she's on maternity leave, but I'm sure she can always assist you. I got my truck last Nov. At that time, the price of GLS Sport M/T was P1.23M pero may 20k discount, so P1.21M na lang. Freebies included full 3M tint, 3 year LTO, rainvisors, plus the standard freebies like EWD, floor mats, seatcovers na pangit. What I discovered that you can easily bargain for these freebies. Just tell the agent that other dealers are offering me these, so why can't they?
