Strada Club January 2008 EB

The next EB of the Strada Club will be on 26 January 2008, Saturday 4PM onwards. Our venue will be at Chops/BBQ Boy, Ortigas Home Depot, Julia Vargas cor Meralco Avenues, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. Turbo Timer EB daw ito with the usual meet and greet of fellow strada owners. Plus, upcoming activities of the club will be discussed.

Sir ianmitsulancer, magandang suggestion yan.....Strada Fun Run to Baguio City. 3 days - 2 nights. Tapos mga Strada owner's from Baguio ang sasagot ng bawat meal (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

Kami na po bahala sa accomodation kasi nakakahiya naman kung nakikikain na nga kami tapos makikitulog pa.

it seems to be that i am the only one from baguio who is actively participating in this thread. and i don't own a strada yet- still saving for it. since its introduction in mid-1994 i fell in love with the truck and promised myself to interact with people who own one and share about what i feel about it.

i must admit- to be honest also... i'm on a budget (from a simple call center agent who is also involved office special projects) wherein i can't feed the strada tsikoteers. i'm very sorry . BUT i can provide a simple token to WARMLY welcome any of the Strada Tsikoteers who comes to Baguio for the flowerfest '08.

should anyone have questions, please feel free to shoot me...! hehehe...

*nismo26 thank you for changing my perception about the JVC head unit. I am looking forward to a hands-on once the unit comes out!

the 2008 Strada GLS Sport with have the taller 17x7 mags and 245/65R17 tires. (thinner and than the 2007's 265/70R16) and the design will be similar, if not, same with the euro warrior model. plus, the JVC head unit will also be found on the 2.5 GLS 4x4 M/T. news on a bed cover is also on the horizon. but then again, nothing beats looking at the official photos, the actual unit and brochure!

may i suggest that a set of officers should be elected! this is how i imagine the line-up to be:

-President- of course, to lead the club to the ideals of the Mitsubishi L200 Strada (naks!) - who will also be the club's ambassador (for communication, support and publicity purposes) with the Marketing Services of Mitsubishi Motors Philippines. (NOTE: whoever will be the chosen one- please PM me immediately to request for their names- i know them.)
-VP for Resources- this interesting position is for those who seek for products and services to modify the truck- as well as updates on the current line-up of the Strada. also, to work with Government Agencies with the assistance of the VP for Organization for the requisites to make this club LEGITIMATE.
-VP for Organization- who works with the President in organizing the club for EBs, Fun Runs and the likes as long as it follows the form and function of the Strada! of course, who also acts as a Press Relations Officer for info dissemination to fellow Strada Tsikoteers and links to the Media. to make sure that everyone is having fun during the said events!

and of course, the self-explanatory positions:

Bro, I fell in love with this truck Nov 2007 when we decided to let go of our ever loved Mitsulancer. Then came several sleepless nights (thanks to this thread). Kung ako yung nasa lugar mo, baka zombie na ako. Di bale, konting kayod na lang, dream come true na.

Sana while on fun runs, pwede rin kayo mag outreach so that the people will have good image of the club, you can give canned foods, school supplies to orphanages. Actually sa halagang 200, kompleto na ang isang school supply para sa isang bata . Same thing what Triton clubs do in Thailand...

Another suggestion of the club name, Mitsubishi L200 Club of the Philippines (ML2CP) Why L200? Kasi kung Strada lang, the other range of L200's like Endeavor, or 1st and 2nd Generations na 4x2 won't be included. Mas masaya kung marami kaya maganda rin isama ang past generations ng Strada.

Yup. I strongly agree that we include past generations of the Mitsu Strada. Ok ako sa Mitsubishi L200 Club of the Philippines (ML2CP). Outreach programs will surely be a part of our activities.

btw, did the fender liner for our strada covers the alternator when you look at the side of our unit? is it safe to undercoat our units without the fender liner? will it not affect the engine if its accidentally sprayed by the undercoat substance?

prone kasi sa scratches yung black glx ko kaya im thinking of installing the body cladding/fender flares to minimize them... dami kasi stray cats sa amin, kakainis! minsan nahuli ko na kinakalmot yung gulong ko, then another time naman dun natutulog sa stepboard... kapag binaril ko naman ng pellet gun, baka mag-ricochet sa body ng strada ko, lalo lumala ang sitwasyon, hehehe
