I agree with you here, silverend. I'm driving a 3.2 A/T. Few days back, I did not notice na 100 kph na pala takbo ko sa underpass ng Q.ave - EDSA. Very stable ang ride. I don't have such feel in driving my 02 CRV. At 100 kph driving my CRV in the same stretch of Qave, ang feeling ko napakabilis ko na. Di ko ma-explain why. But in fairness, mas magaan dalhin ang 02 CRV in my experience. Well, I guess pick-ups are pick-ups and compact SUVs are cars na pinalaki at pinataas ng konti. So wala masyadong point of comparison. No regrets in getting my new strada. It is serving my purpose well. In fact, I think it is a superior pick-up.

Post ko lang mileage ko with my strada 3.2 a/t. With aircon on set at 25, and my odometer reading at less than 400km, I get an average of 8 km per liter of diesel city-driving (range of 7.6 - 8.6). I'm not complaining considering that I get only 6-7 km / liter of unleaded gas from my other ride (02 CRV). Tipid pa rin. I expect to improve my mileage further once I have my 1,000 km check.

Thank you, promdiboy. My SA recommended to use regular engine oil on my 1k check up and thereafter, para every 5k daw ang change oil. This way mache-check ko na rin daw ang dapat ma-check under the hood as frequent. Well, sounds reasonable. I'll do some research on the validity of my SA's recommendation. Comments on this are welcome. May thread ba tungkol dito?
On the cost of the 1st check-up at 1k, baka matagalan ng konti bago ko mai-post. I do not intend to use my strada until after my car plates are out.
Let's ask other 3.2 strada owners: mga bros, paki-post naman how much did you spend for your 1000 km check-up. Thanks.
OT: Di ko maintindihan bakit LTO gives only 7 days leeway for you to use a new vehicle without the car plates after delivery when they cannot issue the same within that period of time. Sabi sa casa, after 3-4 weeks pa daw ang plates mare-release. Mukhang something is wrong here. This can be a source of mulcting (Pilipino translation: dilihensiya, kotong).
Syempre, excited ka gamitin yung bagong car mo even beyond the 7-day period and will risk getting apprehended.

I read somewhere (can't remember where) that you should only start using synthetic oil after your ride has logged 20,000 kms. The reason given was that your ride's engine will not break-in properly if you use synthetic from the very start. The engine's internals need to have a little "setting-in" daw.
Re license plates, it's not the LTO that gives the 7-day limit but the TMG.;)

Dito sa amin, parang mas dumadami na ang strada kesa sa dmax. Hilux at ranger, kokonti talaga. Marami yung glx pero may nakita akong dalawang 3.2 na silver and red. Kaya nagpalit ako ng mags noon pa para may identity hehehe....
