just wana share with you a sordid experience of mine today when i had my 1st 1k PMS. To start with, the people in the casa were very accomodating and they even gave me a discount making my total charges only 4900 from the original 5500+. The problem came when I was about to leave the casa. When I was fixing the seats -- the 2nd and 3rd row to be specific -- I noticed that the 2nd row seat, the one used for accessing the 3rd row, won't clamp on the metal mounted on the car's floor. I tried once, twice, thrice -- harder and harder each time -- but to no avail. The SA who was concern enough to help and assist me came over and tried clamping the seat himself but he can't as well even with a forceful effort. Then, all of a sudden, I realised that the 3rd row seats have the same problem. What a vexatious feeling that was. Imagine my monty is just a month old. So i told the service advisor who happens to be in charge also of the warranty issues that I think I'm up to claim a warranty so prematurely. Of course, that's the beauty of the 3 year warranty but of course, you know, you would not want to get it as much as possible. I know you guys got my point.

Well, now I'm beginning to contemplate on whether i really made the right choice. To me, mitsu has done its job of toppling its perennial competitor by addressing a good ride and handling thus the tag line " enjoy the ride ." I am indeed enjoying the ride but not the hassle. In my opinion, mitsu still failed in the reliability department. I hope this is an isolated case but as far as I have observed in the thread here, there have been some issues and concerns raised already -- some were resolved, others i don't know. I chose the looks, the better ride quality, and the very tempting price but i think I'm now paying the price.

I'm still hopeful though that the people here in the casa would be able to expedite the replacement of my seats. I'm still enjoying the ride simply because my seat -- the driver's seat -- is still ok.

Anyone of you guys who have asked, requested, or availed of the warranty? I believe that the warranty can be claimed in all dealerships but I'll wait and see if the guys here would be as eager in providing the warranty as they were before in selling and promoting the unit. I hope this would not turn out to be like most insurance firms who are so fast in collections yet so slow in disbursements.

I'LL BE NEEDING YOUR HELP GUYS IN CASE I ENCOUNTER A PROBLEM HERE IN MY CASA (i deliberately conceal the name and location first for they just might be able to do the tricks and make me satisfy).

I hope you don't get to encounter reliability issues like this.
    Hi Sergi,

I also had a problem with my rear passenger's power window. It wouldn't close when I opened it, buti nalang hindi umuulan so I brought it to the casa ASAP. They closed it manually then ordered the parts. No hassle naman, they changed something (motor daw yata) during my 1K PMS, which cost P5,300 in Diamond Libis . Yes nagkaproblema nga but diamond fixed it without any 2nd thoughts and am very happy with my monty.

sir not yet installed ba seat cover ko but i've talked with rommel tungkol dyan and sa tinutusukan ng headrest daw yun, mas magiging di halata (may pagka stretchable ang material) instead na may naka abang nang butas. though pwede ring abangan ng holes kung gusto ng customer.

I got fed up and let my friend's shop check on it.. there was a screw that needed to be tighten in the brakes and instantly, no more sound ever since. So if i were you, try it out somewhere else if you know any shops.. if not, let me know, i'll refer you to my friend.

Contact wendell habaluyas... his shop is just always busy so just make an appointment. His crew will hopefully be able to figure out your problem. You can reach him at 0917-8880100 or 4102997. He might not be at the shop but just mention you want to have your montero checked and you're looking for wendell because you were refered. They'll know na.

Got mine from seatmate, light brown plain design since my Monty is RED (BTW, I'm not a girl nor girlish and this would be my 4th red vehicle so siguro type ko lang talaga ang RED?).

Musikero, naka zipper type yung second row arm rest/cup holder.

As for the one asking dun sa ginagupit na part? They unscrew the black plastic portion of the lever assembly and then they screw it back on top of your leather seat kaya tago sya and firmly secured.

I had some initial complaints regarding the 3rd row and some other issues but they were good enough to accommodate all of them. Am quite happy now except for the 2nd row drop down middle armrest. They initially made this with a zipper which zips down once the armrest is folded in. They made this into the collar type which requires no zipper and should look cleaner whether the armrest is up or down. My Camry has Seatpro seatcovers and super ang gawa.

Can you advise if Seatmate was able to make it with the collar type or zipper type? Is it possible to take a photo of the armrest both up and down? Super thanks!

    Thanks!

Thanks Sir Daemon. I was thinking of getting a red monty too but my wife wanted a different color since our other vehicle is red (maroon actually) and we just sold a red one too. Monty is in Seat Crown right now and they are trying to figure out if it's possible to do it the collar type. I checked my Camry and the difference is maluwang yung laro ng Toyota vs the Mitsu. if it doesnt work I advised them to make it into the zipper type nalang. Kudos to them na they put up with my kakulitan even though they didnt have to.

    Enjoy the ride guys!

Welcome foreigners! Please feel free to ask/translate anything

Just had my first 1000kms check up kanina... and may nagsasabi na magkakaroon daw ng MS 2.5 na 4X4 hehe totoo kaya? may nagsasabi din na meron daw umabot ng more than 200kph sa hiway going to subic.. is this possible? Again, nadinig ko lang hehe

Oh, by the way, i just noticed na my MS is "faster" now in a sense na it picks up speed faster after the check up... dati kasi, meron parang 1-2 seconds lag when u step on the gas para bumilis, kanina, barely one second nalang yung lag... what could have possibly happened?
