It cost 800 peso includsive the installation....

The materials use cast iron.......they use black silicon to stick on the side mirrow...

The dis advantage was after install this, the side view become smaller...
thanks sir ching, i'll check that shop this week. better to have a smaller view than with totally lost side mirror/s. not only it's expensive but they might destroy the other mechanism as well

the "not perfect fit" was on my friend's car and it's not a montero. I think it was a revo(which has alot of variants) The car shop in banawe had difficulties installing because it's not a perfect fit.

That's why I'm just curious for our Monteros, But I think Sir Chng didn't had any problems on his installation(based on his reply.ty) He said It's a shop in Agno street...

hi, I've already asked one of the casa near q. ave. the mirror costs around 1000php each and almost 900 for the installation. mura lang compared using my insurance. and the hassle and stuff. kala ko naman di nananakaw ung side mirror ng monty. :arghhh: after i get the new mirrors, ipapa- acid ko na sa big berts ung side mirror ko and go for sir ching's idea and put up a lot of sensors on my monty. and thanks to the guys who gave advices for the anti-theft stuffs.

Nakasalubong ko black monty ni mayor at marcos highway on my way to baguio. Nagflash ako ng lights pero di yata napansin. May nakasalubong pa ako na white monty near pugo, la union. Nagflash sya ng lights nya. Nakakatuwa talaga pag may fellow monty lover na nakakasalubong sa daan. Will go back home to pangasinan in a few hours after we drop off our daughter at her dorm.

i think most of the guys here own a montero with A/T, mine is a 2.5L GLS 4x4 M/T. with the other guys here going up in baguio may i ask how is its performance? (the 2.5L variant either A/T or M/T)

we own a pajero 1997 model 2.5L, when it was new going up in baguio was just a piece of cake but after the 1000km check up it somewhat lost power and the mitsubishi CASA cant do anything about it but tell me " sorry sir, talagang underpower yan eh". This is the reason why i am asking about the performance of a 2.5L variant of montero sport in going to baguio. although it has 136 HP compared to my old pajero of 99 HP, still the experience of the people who hav tried it would mean more rather than just the stats comparison.

    Thank you
I own a 4x2 monty. I have driven it to baguio via kennon road and marcos highway numerous times. It has never failed to deliver everytime. I mean, whether loaded or not, it can climb the steepest parts of these roads with ease. It never fails to deliver power when you need it.

Congratulations on your new ride! We are sure you'll enjoy driving it.

thanks again sir ching. agno st. is quite short so i'm sure it'll be easy to locate.
that's the cons of putting mirror guard but don't worry silicon / rubberized adhesives are a bit easier to remove than those epoxy types.

good news that casa sells the mirror lens alone. whole assembly i guess would cost us may be triple from that.

Hi sir stubby, thanks and like the other MSCPs out there, looking forward to meet you too...

in order for you to practise the uphill climb to Baguio, try the uphill stretch from Star Tollway to Tagaytay. We did this with the Strada Club last year. Take the Talisay exit and (i think) it will be the start of the uphill climb to Tagaytay... before you know it... you might want to join the Hill Climb races... joke...

i drove eslonblue's Strada 3.2 GLS Sport during this time and it was no sweat!

Good one! That's the exact same thing i do! Instead of getting home when i hit the subdivision gates in 2mins, it takes me around 5 so to give time to cool down the turbo. And yes, when wifey fixes up before heading out into the mall.. hehehe

I own a sedona red montero gls se... and i use it to go up to Baguio every Saturday.... First, I tried playing around the sportronic thing.... even if it's at 2, magaling pa rin umakyat! Played it around more using the 4H, smooth ride and no problems at all. I tried also it's +/- feature and mas matipid siya sa gas.

checked mine a while ago and looked like not as rusty as that but more dusty i had them in my crosswind manifold which i think is normal for an 8 year old car but my wd40 managed to take care of it. btw is that sir ching's? IMO, for less than a year these rusts should not be there.

    Sir XTO,

Thanks for the info, i dont think this is due to engine wash, i believe many of our Monty friends do their engine wash too....

As for my monty, if i not wrong, i only wash one time only.....and this is 9 months old and ODM 8000km..........

AFAIK, only the GLS SE has the LSD. the others uses an ordinary differential.

Thank u.Sorry if this next questions sound stupid. Just want to make sure I understand how the 4 wheel drive works on the MS. I rather ask you guys that a sales person.
So, with the normal rear diff on the GLS model and using the Super Select 4wd I can still get 50/50 power to all the wheels by locking the center Diff?
Thank u again for your time and help.

    This is correct...

*hawkenph - hello sir. the 50/50 front/rear power distribution is still possible with the central differential lock once the Super Select lever is at 4HLc. Once you have the unit, please read the guidelines found at the Owner's Manual.

Actually, i would like to encourage you the other way around. Please, by all means, Pepper your Sales Associate with ALL the questions you have in mind. They are trained by their superiors and by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines (MMPC) personnel and they have Product Knowledge seminars exclusivelly for every new model/Product Update. Aside from that, their sales talk Should be interesting to convince you more. hehehe
