New Mitsubishi Montero Sport [ARCHIVED]

Hi again montero owners...

we got our montero GLS SE last march 31 from citimotors makati.. and used it to land trip back here in our place davao..

with roughly 2 weeks and 4 days of ownership of the montero we have 2.5k kms reading already.. and the first 1000 pms was done in the citimotors makati's casa.. the issue now is that my father is claiming that his hearing sounds in his steering wheel and the mechanic of Kar Asia (mitsubishi dealer here in davao) , said that its the steering rack that is the problem and will warranty it.

just sharing and want to ask if anyone got any problem like it so far.

why sedona red?

silver ---- nagkaroon na ko apollo silver years ago..
white --- FB and starex ko white na..
grey and black --- kita agad ang putik saka alikabok (tamad pa naman ako magpacarwash madalas) hehe

or is it because of logistics issues at thailand kaya walang dumadating na units sa atin?

Hey guys, just an update. There's going to be 2 Montero's next week at the megamall trans show! Be sure to check it out! 1 will be a black one, its installed with sony sounds and a bodykit that includes chin, side moulding, spoiler and rear chin. So far i don't know if it'll have ther rear garnish cause i didn't see them readying it earlier today.

Then the other is a silver one sponsored by Atoy, Concept one, Xenon-Bulbs and Habrec. Installed is the atoy's bodykit including chin, spoiler, rear garnish and painting. Then 24'' Dropstar DS04 rims. Low beam and fog light 50w HIDs. Quad Tip exhaust system. And a few more accessories that's the owner's own.

Exciting! Be sure to check it out! EB anyone?

I had my monty's steering column replaced under warranty around 7t km after I complained of a clicking sound. Per Kar Asia's mechanic, these are same warranty issues also plaguing the Strada. It took only halfday provided you make an appointment and the part is available.

^ as for problems with the monty.. i had my 5t km check yesterday... i'm feeling a lot more vibrations when i'm fully stopped in Drive. Its really weird, as if there's something wrong with the engine supports. Or at least that's how the vibrations feel like with our other cars before. But mitsu said they checked everything and nothing is wrong, they did all the checks they could think of and nothing. But they do acknowledge the stronger vibrations.

Another is my rear suspension, i don't carry load nor is the rear seldom used, but the shocks, the rear right shocks, are 'leaking' as to what they said. But its a defect rather than a wear and tear issue so they'll change it for me as soon as the part comes in... I really don't know yet how good the quality of work in mitsubishi libis yet? but they're service personnel sure are nice and knowledgable.
