I use stock. if you get super white, your HIDs will only eat it up.. so really no point in getting a super white halogen bulb because it will not serve its purpose. Or i would recommend getting yellow halogen bulbs, that's what i want, problem is, when installed, you can totally see from the headlight that its yellow and the headlight reflects the yellow tinge all around. Stay with stock if you want to use it with a purpose. If you just want pure looks, maybe go with raybrig or philips. but the color will not be the same as HIDs, plus like i said before, walang kwenta na brights mo, it'll just blend with your HIDs.

I thought you put HIDs on your high beams as well?

    * XTO ..Nope,not for my monty..

    * NTYcE Im planning to put 55W HID's on the DMAX projector headlight tapos super white na lang on the low coz if i put HID sayang coz i seldom turn on the high beam..yellow halogen na lang din on the fog lights.. Thanks for the info on halogen bulbs..

I'll post pics once I get the complete set, hopefully this Saturday and to all the tsikoteers and members of MSCP, thanks for the warm welcome!

    See you in future EB's....
Sir Pinoy Discus, ask ko lang po kung ito yung accessories package na worth 72k?

My aunt is planning to buy a Montero as well. She was told that the package must be bought as well. An additional 72k. I asked her what are included in the package, she doesn't know yet.

If what you listed is the package, when I computed the parts prices based on the list you gave...

Honeycomb grille (left and right) - 6,664 (3,332 each)
Front Bumper Chin Set - 4,421
Rear Bumper Corner Chin Set - 4,421
Side Mirror Chrome Cover with LED - 8,954
    Rear Roof Spoiler - 8,832
    Rear Bumper Garnish - 11,286
    Scuff Plate - 2,533

It only costs 47,111. So lalabas, for installation and paint it is 24,889.
Considering that the ones for paint will just be the front and rear chin set, spoiler and garnish plus installation of all parts, is 24,889 a right price? It seems a bit steep at the same time it seems just about right. I don't know casa pricing. Where you given a breakdown?

My aunt is a bit irritated about buying the package, but if it is somehow justified, probably it will change her mind.

the red boxes are on the copyright of the brochure on when it was made plus the indication of the ENGINE IMMOBILIZER on GLS 4x4 and GLS SE!

what is this an indication of?! that the Immobilizer is a recent add on when Mr. Harry of MMPC replied or No Immobilizer for the GLS 4x2 at all?

on the next EB, i encourage everyone to put your KEYS on the TABLE! The thick key is the one with the immobilizer due to a microchip embedded on it compared to the regular key. Do take note of the difference per variant especially owners of the GLS 4x2 A/T.

Better yet, may i ask One GLS SE owner as well as an owner of a GLS 4x2 to post a picture of their key+transmitter. We will all be the judge! Thanks.
Mine is GLS SE 4x4 sedona...here is the key..4 butoons only.
DOES IT HAVE IMMOBILIZER? The casa C5 says all does not have imobilizer regardless of model

    Sir fermontalban,

That is precisely it... I got pissed when I learned about it initially but when I saw it installed on a Sedona Red Monty, I thought to myself... "Pwede na"... I may have missed some things because I don't have the list with me... I think there's a mud guard and another thing I missed but I'll get the complete price list and post it here later for your reference...

    Hope this helps...

JPG, this september lalabas sa Australia with the 2010 Triton (strada). 2.5 HPD will replace the 3.2L engine across all Triton and Montero Sport (Challenger in Australia).

The 2.5 DiD HPD will power the 2010 Challenger (MS of Australia) arriving this November. Since Thailand din gawa ang mga units sa Australia, it's safe to say na malamang lalabas din ito dito sa atin.

Mitsu is likely to keep their current 2.5 for the low end model while waiting for the new 3.0 (or 3.2) which will have around 230hp (my projection based on their current engine technology). The HPD probably is just their version of VGT.

we have the same 4 button transmitter and i'm sure your key has a chip inside because of its thickness. i tried inquiring my SA and she replied that my unit doesn't have an immobilizer but she can have mine installed for less than 10K only

    oh my SA talaga.

i agree sir. but for aesthetics and functionality 8000k and 3000k blends just right! i think for me that's the best combination. but right now m using both 8000kelvin for headlights n fog lights. just like djinn's monty. he got his hid's from us hehe

IMO, it is very likely that we are going to maintain the same line-up of engines for now. The Aussie/NZ Market classifies itself as part of the Euro (Specifications) market which is very much different from the for the ASEAN/Asian market. Therefore what we have is the latest of our own kind. I would believe if the HPD engines would be available locally but in fact, the same engines we use has similar HP and Torque figures of Thailand- yet. In case their are engine upgrades, Thailand should be the first to receive the technology... But why did the UK market get it first?!

i hope that clears everything about the 2010 model. It would be too premature to launch an MMC/Upgrade this early. That would be bad marketing strategy if that happens. They should have launched it in the first place!

sir ian..yup, that is the standard key that have been issued. then, the 4x2 models are really not equipped with engine immobilizer. MMPC customer service should be notified, since 3 personnel from them, already confirmed that all models are equipped.

*djin_xxx, i remember you have tried using a duplicate key. were you able to start the engine and run the car? tia

Yes I have tried using the dulicate key and it started the engine and run the car. I recall asking my SA re. the Immobilizer and she told me that the Montero sport is not equiped with the said immobilizer.
