In vgt has a movable nozzle ring it closes and open while in non vgt the nozzle ring is fixed.

Compensate turbo lag experienced on non vgt, supplies the required air during sudden acceleration in turn getting raid of excess uncombustible fuel (smoky exhaust). Vgt has a higher brake hp than non vgt.

Hahaha.. Thank you for the simplified explanation. So the EGR is for the protection of the environment, I was confused when I read that blanking will increase fuel consumption.

By the way any feedback after you blanked your EGR? Pros and Cons?

    Thanks.

    Cons:
    - voids the engine's warranty
    - bad for your health (prolonged exposure to exhaust)
    - bad for the environment.

    Pros:
    - better engine response at lower RPM. (I can shift earlier)
    - better fuel economy (because I can shift earlier). From 9.6 km/L to 10.8 km/L using full tank method. Caloocan to Alabang daily.
    - No more EGR cleaning needed (good for your pocket).
    - No more clogged / dirty intake manifold. (good for your pocket again)

So far yun pa lang alam ko.
