PK, pwede narin siguro, konti nalang naman add mo, pero bagay nga yung white sa interior ng gen 2.5. have you checked kung ilang liner yung p880rs? kung 2 line lang siya medyo mahirap mag browse sa ipod. experience ko din pala sa 9800bt ko di niya maplay yung nina (orig) ko na CD. pero sa local 8650 ko dati naplay ko, baka dahil US version.

btw have you deadened your doors?

Hehehe, pinatos ko na yung P880PRS. I'm very happy with it! Sobrang simple, halos stock tignan. ganda! Sana lang nga it has the BT functionality of your 9800 Nakatawad pa ako. I just finished installing it. ang daming horror story sa internet regarding the grounding so binaklas ko yung harness to check the ground wires. hayun! umandar naman.


Ewan ko lang kung psychological, pero mas maganda ata yung tunog kesa sa 8650. Pero baka overtweaked na kasi yung EQ ko dati.

Pansin ko rin na mas mahina yung drive niya, having only a 5V preout. so medyo pumped up yung volume setting ko.

Ang ganda ng may naka-drawing na ipod hehe. halatang naka ipod (duh).

Three liner siya pag naka-search mode ng songs and aliw yung voltmeter.

by the way pare, ano ba ang healthy na voltage? sa akin nasa 12.4V lang pag naka off yung makina.

Ako din nahirapan sa ilalim ng A/C switch. Do you manage to remove the bulb w/out detaching the cable of the heater switch etc? Yong mga condom ng bulb sunog na kaya yon orange na yong light walang mabili na condom.

Yessir! the plug of the bulb is unlike the ones in the dash where you have to twist it once inserted. Kelangan lang diskartehan yung plastic stub sa right side.... pakawalan ito from the metal bracket tapos pwede na itagilid yung switch assembly.

Nilinis ko lang yung top nung condoms. yung side inalis ko yung part na hindi naluto sa init. the light is not as white as before, but much much brighter. pag inalis mo kasi yung condom, mukhang gen2 lighting, not that that's a bad thing but hindi na terno.

May naisip ako. Instead of using a rubber condom, why not try clear blue paint or cutics? pwede kaya tumagal ito agains teh heat of the bulb?

since nabili po itong po namin ito never pa po siya napapalitan ng rear axle oil and manual transmission fluid.
yung coolant ay never parin po napapalitan.
twing kailan po kaya pinapalitan itong 3 fluids na ito? kailangan ko napo ba palitan?

pasensiya napo.. napakadetailed ng mga tanong ko.. just want everything to go perfect po.

bali ang mga nasa list ko po papalitan at 65tkms are the following:

oil and oil filter
fuel filter
air filter
timing belt
2 fan belts
+calibration (what shop can u recommend po?)

nasa magkano po kaya estimate na magagastos sa calibration? para malalaman ko na gano ko kelangan magpagoodboy sa dad ko.. hehe..
sa alam ko po kasi.. diba.. di talaga malalaman hangat di pa binubuksan?
yung lowest possible and worst case po.. hehe

PK about sa gripo, i was adviced by our suking mekaniko na risky daw sa AT natin yung pag welding sa muffler. ang explanation niya sa gen 2 daw kasi walang kahit anong electronics, kaya pwede daw, sa gen 2.5 we have our AT tranny which has sensors and ecu box, kaya may risk daw na pwede may magshort. makes sense ba?

congrats PK sa new radio, tama observation mo humina talaga yung volume, because of the preouts. pag may bagong accesories pakiramdam mo bumabago din kotse.
ganyan din readings ko sa voltmeter, mahilig karin ba sa voltmeter, meron kay quest audio ganito, ok siya sa pajero natin, 4 digits diya,



katabi niya yung rear aircon switch ko. medyo di lang clear sa pic. nakakabit sa lighter socket diretso. mas mabilis siya magupdate compared sa HU natin.

hehe, buti na lang hindi ako nagpalagay ng gripo sa gen2.5, may sensors palang tatamaan.

Scratch that idea. pero dun sa gen2 ko na MT, ang saya kasi on demand, pwedeng patinuin yung tambutso.

yung gripo na minemention namin ni PB, by the way, is welding a nipple tube to the exhaust system, so pwede siyang lagyan ng water/soap solution. then after doing so, start the engine and watch all the soot exit from the tailpipe. kaso as PB mentioned, delikado sa Gen2.5AT, and i tend to believe your mechanic pareng PB.

Hindi naman sa mahilig sa car audio PB, nagkataon lang na nagsawa ako sa 8650, medyo matagal na rin siya in service sa Paje

Gusto ko parang "high-end stock" lang ang setup. Nothing fancy or boomy pero mga 1000x better than the factory setup.

Right now, kicker seps and powered mono sub. Stock rear 6x9s, tapos pinalitan ko rin yung tweeters na nasa dash. and i have a 2channel amp hidden somewhere in the front passenger's footwell.

By the way PB, yung door/courtesy lamps na try mo na palitan with the LED type? i changed mine yesterday ANG GANDA and ANG LAKAS!!! fuse bulb type siya pero may 4 LEDs and circuit board na maliit. Aliw na aliw ako! Since LED ito, i assume di na mapupundi (unless masira yung circuit board hehe).... also hindi umiinit kahit nakabukas yung pinto ng matagal.

nasa manual melto, but basically there are two adjustment screws located on the top of the headlights.... near the plastic side

na misplace ko kasi yung manual PK, so wala nang lockscrew before adjusting? alam mo na baka may lock and ma pwersa and may mabali ako, mapa mahal pa. thanks.

Sir PK, question uli. I noticed (visual) that the intercooler fan of my ride (gen 2.5) above the engine is not working at idle. So I rev up, to check if works at at a higher RPM, and still its not working. It this normal for intercooler that the fan sometimes will not work? (like the A/C fan?). thanks in advance.

Yeah pk addict din ako sa leds, ganda nga white light sa interior. Saan mo nascore yan. Mahal kasi yung leds na alam ko localy. 500 per 24leds. I only have one led festoon bulb sa map light ng driver ko nilagay. Sa gen 4 naka led yung 5 interior lights ko. meron akong ginawang weekend project. Nilagyan ko ng wurth deadening pads sahig ng driver and passenger. Tapos sahig sa 2nd and 3rd row flashbond nalang nagtipid. Para mareduce road noise. Ang nipis kasi ng flooring natin. Have you tried stomping on the floor? Malalaman mo sinasabi ko. Yung foam din pinalitan ko na in between the carpet. sarap mag diy project sa paj natin very rewarding.

So I rev up, to check if works at at a higher RPM, and still its not working. It this normal for intercooler that the fan sometimes will not work? (like the A/C fan?). thanks in advance.

AFAIK Intercooler fan will work only when needed. Depende sa temp ng Intercooler yan. I normally feel it working kapag galing sa medyo mahabang beyahe at huminto ako sandali. Mararamdaman mo sya kapag start mo ulit yong engine mo. Tama ba mga Master?

Naisip ko rin na pwede siguro cutics or paint wala ako mahanap na cutics sa garahe ko.

Hi PK,

was able to get hold of the manual, walang instructions doon on how to adjust the beam height of the headlights. tried to adjust using the one at the back of the plastic case of the headlight (with label Up--> Down) .... bumigay/nabali yung screw (parang plastic lang pala din yun).

Anyway, may long vertical screw katabi yung headlight, para san yun? TIA.

The intercooler fan works when the ambient temp is rather high. best way to test this is to get stuck in traffic at noon

Park ka tapos turn the ignition key into the ON position. You should hear the intercooler fan at work.

Pag pundido na yung motor ng fan, it wont hurt naman not to have it replaced. Yun lang nga kung OC ka parang ako hehehe, syempre palit or repair na.
