Doc Otep, I'm not a fan of black bumper for pajero beside di yata kakapit yun paint sa stainless. I inquired for brand new bumper sa Casa (Las Pinas) and they sell it at 12K. Kaso mo expired na pala insurance ko last March 4, grabe di man lang ako tinawagan ng insurance to alert that it will expired soon, dapat part of their service yun. Anyway, instead of installing bumper combination light I might opt for surplus (oem) chrome bumper. Sana meron sa banawe, Kapalangan is too far for me. Do you think i could source out for surplus bumper?
Gary and PromdiBoy thanks sa suggestion also.

Kakapit naman ang paint sa chrome bumpers. Yung Land Cruiser II wala na kaming makuhang bumper kaya pinarepaint na lang namin. Medyo grayish silver ang kulay para naman hindi masyadong halatang retoke.

paint will stick to the chrome bumper, but in order for optimum adhesion, you have to scratch/roughen the surface of the chrome. no turning back na once you do that

    nugundam93,

things to watch our for when changing said compass bulb:

    1) the rounded screw caps on the center meter console (you have em left and right). You just need to pry these open. Think Clamshell. just open them coz theyre attached to each other. DONT DISCONNECT THE TWO HALVES.

    2) Gen2.5 = 2 bulbs, Gen2 1 bulb. Be ready with the bulbs. I opened mine with the intention of just replacing one of the bulbs. As it turns out, the filament on the other one got cut in the replacement process.

Lesson: Replace both of them The bulbs cost around 80bucks each at eldorado. These are generic 'backlight' bulbs (not LEDs), but they do have a proprietary casing.

I suggest you forego the hassle and get the parts instead of doing 'opera' with generic bulbs.

finally! eureka! nahanap ko na rin what type of TD-04 the 4m40 has. according to http://www.melett.com/pdfs/MHI/Mhi%20TD04.pdf, yung turbo for the 4m4x series is the TD-04 12T. now which is bigger, this one or yung IHI RHB52 VF10? thanks!

heheh. i got the IHI turbo lying around kasi, if it's bigger, then i'll upgrade, otherwise, keep ko yung stock td-04 12t...

What do you call the metal cover under the the engine ( It protects ata your suspension and engine from stones)? I saw a pajero with a nice looking ralliart cover. Where can I find one and any idea how much it would cost?

Skidplate yun. OEM yung alloy nun sa mga up-level JDM models. Carryboy also makes them nowadays. Or if you are willing to spend, you can buy JAOS.

But I just use mine to bang against rocks so no use getting the fancy ones.

I agree with otep. Stock works pretty fine, as Im sure our offroading doctor would attest. Hey, if youre gonna bash something against a boulder, might as well not spend on it right?

    Hehehe.

Here's my Paj after an unfortunate kiss from a PLDT Anfra.

Potek! Dunno whether to have the quarter panel repaired or replaced. Parehong puro cons!

Pano binangga iyan? Simpler way would be to have panel cut and new metal put in. Pero the rust protection will not match OEM levels.
