Mine is Mitsubishi Montero Sport GLS 2010 4X4 M/T.
city driving (Cavite - Manila area) - 8.5 km/l average
highway driving NLEX (Pampanga - Manila) average speed 120kph - 10 km/l
if average speed 100kph - 11km/l consumption
Ride: 2006 advie gls sport
Distance traveled: 2,204 kms.(zambales to eastern samar and vice-versa)
FC: 145 ltrs. = 15.2 kms/li.
...that's normal driving with a/c on and 6 pax for 25 hrs. of driving all the way to llorente,eastern samar,pahinga lang ng makina nung isakay na sa ferry boat ang advie for 2 hrs. and 5 mins. ride to sn. isidro port,northern samar; kaya't bilib ako sa 4d56 na makina,never failed us on our day and nigth travel for that long trip(back and forth);
sir, hindi naman po siguro defective odometer ko kc i also travelled that same places with an L200 and a corolla, with almost the same odometer reading..may difference lang na 0.1kms. kahit nga po ako sir, nagtaka din sa nakuha kong fc test result..actually twice ko ginawa yung test na yun and got the same result..
anyway, na try ko po ulit i-long distance drive ang pajero 4d56 from iloilo to cavite western roro route last feb 2, 2011...
total odometer reading, 480.1 kms,
total fuel consumed 40.03 ltrs..
nasa 11.99 kms/ltr lang po fc ko..pero super loaded po ng sasakyan with long idle time during ferry boarding and half road lane sa mindoro due to road construction.4 pax onboard with lots of baggage on 2nd , 3rd row and top load. tire is dunlop at2 31x10.5 r15, 37psi all 4 tires.
then, last mar 30, 2011, we travelled again from cavite to iloilo.
total odometer reading 442.8 kms
total fuel consumed:32.199 ltrs.
average fc is now3 13.75 kms/ltr..
but that has reduced idle time dahil maganda na road sa mindoro..wala nang half road lane..long idle lang sa port while waiting to board ferry..passenger is 4 pax with lots of baggages on 2nd, 3rd row and top load.
tire is 31x10.5 r15, 37psi all 4 tires.
maybe mas kapanipaniwala na fc ko kc malapit na sa figures ng iba..hehe..
btw, i disconnected nga pala aircon actuator switch ko kaya mas matipid..
shifts gear up at 1500rpm and maintains cruising speed of 2000-2300rpm.
just sharing my experience. salutes 4d56
2011 montero sport. 10 to 12 city driving. Hopefully Tataas pa to pag Na 1000km pms. Good day mga sirs!
2011 MS GLS-V: 4D56 engine
before 1k pms: FC (according sa SA, mineral ginamit nila bago ideliver satin)
city driving- 7km/ltr
highway - 11km/ltr
after 1k pms (semi-synthetic oil & vic oil filter)
city driving - 9.1km/ltr
highway -15.8km/ltr
according sa thread ni dvldoc, i should not use vic because it does not pass any standard testing for filtering, so on my 5k pms i will be looking for a high end filter.
BTW i am not a heavy foot driver...so parang pa pitik pitik lang un gas pedal ko. defense driving ika nga.
hopefully someone using a Mistubishi Lancer 1.6 CVT GLS 2011 model will post here re the FC of this car![]()
we have a 2800 pajero 1993 model (subic). i notice that the fuel consumption is about 1l/5km. also i notice that i only travel 80km/h *3200 rpm. are these conditions usual?
the turbo kit was removed from the system just so you know.
the car also gears down to 2nd gear when i step on the pedal.
please reply! thanks!
I have a mitsubishi strAda 2.5L GLX manual transmission model.
City driving slow traffic from novaliches to taguig - 9.85 km/l
Highway driving - novaliches to pangasinan and back - 11.35 km/L
Btw - i am using the stock mags of montero sport. 17 inches with the stock 265/65/17 tires of montero also. Comparing to the gps reading of my iphone, the trip meter is delayed by 1km for every 26 km GPS reading. 25 km pa lang reading ko sa trip meter, 26 km na sa GPS. I assume mas accurate ang GPS signal so from the calculations above, i already made the necessary adjustments.
80kph * 3200 is unusual. turbo kit? meaning na wala na syang turbo charger?
when I do 80Kph within metro manila nasa 2000-2300 rpm lang ako nasa 4th gear na yata sya. Mine is a 2800 intercooler turbo A/T, and seldom na kelangan kong umakyat sa 3K rpm unless late na ko... hehehe
3200 rpm at 80kph, maybe the transmission engage up to 3rd gear only, have your automatic transmission check if it shift to 4th gear. maybe that's the reason you get 5km/ltr. sayang fuel mo.
