Same as mine and my friend gets the same too on his 3-door 2800. 5-6 km/l on the city. Both A/T pajeros

My ride, a 1994 JDM Pajero, Super Select 4WD, 4m40, automatic, OD on, A/C on, Caltex diesel gives me around 6.8 to 7.8 km/li city and hi way mixed. I believe I can still get better mileage if I stick to 80 km/hr in the hiways. This ride's engine is so tuned (it's stock by the way) that I drive around 100 to 130 kph in the SLEX between alabang and calamba exits. Couldn't help me it is begging for more speed. hehe. I like this 4m40 it is so fine even at higher revs. I guess it is because of the balancer shafts of the engine.

+1, for an old tech it loves to rev high. 120kph cruising speed no sweat!!!

LancerEX '08 40k odo. 80-100kph everyday(kuwait), 12.39Km/L using super 95octane(65fils per liter=9.7pesos/liter).matipid ang EX compare sa ibang sedan.

ako din newbie sa 2.8L 4m40 pajero. i was doing ave. 6.5km/L puro city driving lng with aircon always. Di ko pa nasusubukan h-way FC niya. Last week lng I did the washer mod, EGR vacuum pump blocking w/ ball bearing at rocker breather and i see slight improvemnt mga 7km/L.

sa akin dati L200 strada yun na 4d56. 7km/L city driving at 9-10km/L hway driving. na-engine overhaul na yun and i always change gears when RPM reach 1.8K-2K par matipid. Ok yan manual ng Mistu.

Hi, I estimated fuel consumption of my Monterosport 2010 GLX and here is what i got.

Highway - 14.5 KM/Li (Manila - Tanauan Batangas - Manila)
Mixed City driving and highway - 10.4 KM/Li

My recent FC using my 2010 Strada GLX mixed driving (70% Highway up to 140kph at 3000 rpm and 30% city driving with heavy traffic 30 minutes to 1 hour stuck in it everyday from Cavite to The Fort and back):

An impressive 11.57 km to the liter!!!

I think I can hit the 14km to the liter mark mixed driving if I ease on the throttle a bit sa Hi-way going home to Batangas. Natutuwa kasi ako humataw sa hi-way lalo na pag-akyat ng Tagaytay from Silang

para sa mga province based mitsu units naman '09 Strada GLS Bacolod - Cebu trip: I got a measly 10.5 km/L :dunno: manual computation na to from gps since di na stock size yung tires.

I envy those who reach 12-14km/L sa highway.

pure hi way, 21.99 kms/ltr
kahit ako, d makapaniwala nung una, kaya i repeated the fc test run, now with 4h at work.
i obtained 21.1 kms/ltr..

details;
07 jan 2010 / 0800H
filled up tank at petron miag-ao, iloilo. reset odometer.
travelled from miag-ao, to san joaquin, then to guimbal then back to miag-ao...covering 50.2 kms of very light traffic highway driving with 2H engaged..
filled tank again at petron miag-ao and only ate up 2.283 ltrs of diesel..

thats 2.283 ltrs consumed at 50.2 kms of hiway trip..light footed driving ..a/c on..
ave fc 21.9 kms/ltr.

repeated the procedure to ensure more accurate fc test result...with the same route, same pump and gas station...and same driving technique..but this time, with 4H engaged...
test results were 2.377 liters of diesel consumed at 50.2 kms travel
or 21.1 kms/ltr ...

i hope my fc test procedure was right and accurate.
