btw, kahit ako, d rin makapaniwala..dati kasi, same route, same gas station, same pump at same technique, nakaka 12-13 kms/ltr lang ako..

but recently, as part of my maintenance project sa ride ko,
i've changed all the fluids, i,e,
transmission and transfer case oil, front and rear differential oil, engine oil and oil filter,
air filter and fuel filter pati narin clutch, brake at power steering fluid..
newly cleaned and repacked with grease din front wheel bearings ko...
and mostly, newly calibrated injectors at injection pump ko...
those might be the reasons why i was able to obtain those figures...

and i was very satisfied with the positive results... worth it ang mga ginastos sa maintenance..runs smoother at more responsive pa ang ride..na solve din hard starting problem ko at nawala ang usok sa tambutso even newly started sa cool morning...

    Strada GLX 2010:

During the holiday break in Manila

Bataan to Manila (then rounds in Manila for about two weeks) then back to Bataan.

    4 Pax.
    4 dogs hehe
Puno ang bed lalo na na ng pabalik -- as if I had >7 pax riding TraDoy

    I clocked in 11.75km/liter.

    ====
I had my rig serviced (5,000km) already using a fully synthetic 15w40 Royal Purple. The vibration of the car has improved big time I hope this can be translated to an extra mileage !! Haaayyy ang taas nanaman ng fuel, I need to be light na sa pag tapak sa sa gas pedal kakainis kasi ang Strada pag nasa 100kph na para paring nasa 80kph -- very stable kasi

    Update:

50% of the mileage in Mit Mineral
50% of the mileage using 100% Synthethic.

    80% - Highway
20% - City - medyo clear ang Traffic.

Tire Pressure - 32 psi front and back; ang tagtag na sa 34psi, may portion sa Bataan road na hindi maganda kaya 32psi tamang tama lang

----------------------->>> I clocked-in 14.14km/liter; sulit na ang pag lipat ko to Royal Purple .

I guess kasi its makes engine run smoother not harder. Not sure though if how mch will you save...I reckon not more than 5 percent. So if you are consuming 4k monthly sa fuel then thats 200 pesos savings monthly.

-- pwede yan sir rushmore. But it is advisable na kung nasanay sa mineral oil ang isang old engine, semi-synthetic na lang. If fully synthetic kasi, you may experience leakage due to the inherent ability of synthetic oils to really give a good engine clean and "unclog some of the deposits in the engine". Nabasa ko yan sa isang thread dito, kaya advice lng nila to follow what the manual says or use a higher multigrade oil and if ever mag-synthetic ka, just be prepared to replace some o-ring/seals, gaskets, etc...

Stick to the one you think you can maintain as engine oil for your car. suggestion lng po... but synthetic will surely help in impproving your FC...

Kahit nga yung mineral oil na single grade and then upgrade to mineral na multi-grade ok na ok. How much more yung synthetic pa. Also, hindi lang FC, pati engine performance and longevity (w/ proper oil drain interval ha) will improve as well. Again, choose the oil that best fit your financial capacity para hindi ka na papalit-palit.

    - follow the owner's manual. Pero safe bet yung 5K km or 6 months whichever comes first. Multi-grade ba gait mo? if single grade lng, 3 mos or 5K km naman whichever comes first.

-- change oil & filter ka na boss, tapos if pwede semi-synthetic, yun na gamitin mo or if tipid mode, yung mineral na multi-grade pwede na rin.

-- meron yan sir sa mga shell shops. Shell R3 yung multi-grade nila na mineral oil and shell helix diesel yung medyo mahal (yellow is mineral pa rin * P210/ltr pero better than R3, while yung blue bottle na semi-synthetic ay P307/ltr dito sa amin).
