Bukod sa masiba na, GASOLINE pa ang fuel! naku... ayaw ko ng tumingin ng fuzion. unless maglabas sila ng diesel variant..yun, pwedeng pwede...

Diesel ito pre... bought Sept. 2011. Ang alam ko, wala nang Gas type na adve from 2011 upwards (correct me if i'm wrong). Just check with the sale reps.

Nung nakaraan, subic to mariveles balikan, i got 13.78km/liter. medyo paiba-iba nakukuha kong FC but one thing is for sure, hindi ako nakakakuha ng 10km/liter and below. lalo na kapag 60-80km/hr lang takbo ko (family safe driving) at minsan lng 100km/hr.

Gas type ba preferred mo? I prefer diesel types kapag hauling cars pinaguusapan. Wag ka matakot sa diesels, with proper and regular change oil/filter... walang problema sa diesel engines lalo kapag brand new unit mo at adventure. 4d56 engines are jurassic engines, meaning subok na subok na at improved type na. Yung nakikita mong paminsan minsang pag-usok ng adve ay dahil sa wrong timing of clutch and gear shifting lang yun. kapag nangapa ka ng gears, ayun usok sya konti.

should be the same... same engine and body naman eh.. features lang difference ng 1.6MX sa 1.6GLX... nakuha ko rin yung 14km/l when I went to tagaytay last weekend.. daily city consumption though is about 9km/l on regular traffic.. heavy traffic will bring you down to 7km/l

As much as possible, I retain the RPM at 2000rpm, which is 70kph at fifth gear.


Anyone got the FC of the new Lancer EX 1.6 GLX? I hope it will give me the same fuel cost at the same driving habits.

best ko is 15.1 Km/l, ave is around 14.3 Km/l

1. keep your car in tip top shape.
2. don't use the aircon.
3. minimize loads, including passengers and spare tire (heh heh.. joke, of course).
4. drive as if your right foot were stepping on eggs when pushing the accelerator pedal (no jackrabbit starts). drive smoothly, as if your mominlo were behind you, ready to pound your head if you don't..
5. plan your trips.. avoid traffic-y roads (drive only when past 2 am, to avoid traffic.. heh heh.)
6. get a small car with a small engine.
7. get a bike?
8. commute.

*trying not to get past 1,800rpm so that turbo will not kick-in
*aircon mostly on at fan 1 or 2 at 50% thermostat

2013 Montero Sport GLX MT Non-VGT

10 km/L pure city driving (caught heavy traffic *EDSA last Friday, Pasay to Munoz in crawling 2.5hrs).. while *Cavitex, I maintain 80 kph max with random 120 kph race mode.

Upon exit from Citimotors LP last 1/17, low fuel warning already ON. topped up only P1,000 worth of Shell V-Power Diesel *php43.00/L , getting 23 Liters.. Last night on my way home, the low fuel lit on at 230km trip mark.

Since malakas naman torque ng Monty, di ko pinapatagal ang 1st gear, once mag launch shift agad to 2nd gear with careful clutch timing.. worked wonder even w/ my former Gen1 '01 CRV MT, gaining 8.5 km/l city
