    Guys,

Does the air intake system really helps in the fuel consumption/mileage of a car/van?

My ride, a 1994 JDM Pajero, Super Select 4WD, 4m40, automatic, OD on, A/C on, Caltex diesel gives me around 6.8 to 7.8 km/li city and hi way mixed. I believe I can still get better mileage if I stick to 80 km/hr in the hiways. This ride's engine is so tuned (it's stock by the way) that I drive around 100 to 130 kph in the SLEX between alabang and calamba exits. Couldn't help me it is begging for more speed. hehe. I like this 4m40 it is so fine even at higher revs. I guess it is because of the balancer shafts of the engine.

2009 Mitsu Fuzion GLX 2.4L AT (gas engine)

    6-7 km/l - city driving
    - ave speed 40-60kp/h
8-9+ km/l - highway or no trafic (Sucat-Otis, Manila vice versa)
    - ave speed 80-100kp/h (skyway)
    - pag nag over 3k rpm reduce na ko speed para matipid

Aircon always ON set to #1 full thermo

    ODO Meter - almost 5k

Nung bnew oto ko parang gusto ko soli eh kala ko may butas gas tank ko! 4.8-5km/l FC (city driving-trafic) parang naka V8 engine ako! pero lately medyo timipid ganun yata talaga habang nagagamit engine tumitipid.

I have a small question about the Mitsubishi Spacegear 2004 model GAS variant.

For 6 years now, I have been using unleaded gas. Is it possible to switch to a higher octane fuel (i.e. Blaze, Velocity, etc)?

Sorry can't find my Owner's Manual and can't find one online.
