    Thanks a lot.. :D

    Active Stability Traction Control [ A S T C ]

Two birds , one ammo., I was able to activate my volution turbo timer's fully automatic function by connecting the grey colored wire to the mile sensor(pin 35 white-blue of connector Â*c103). This is how a TT should work, its great. Worth it for less than p2k

Sir zix, what is the function of ASTC? Do our monty have that feature?

Montys that came out in australia have astc. Sa atin provisions lang, still checking all the parts na kelangan, so far found out na wala tayo astc ecu and switch, buti na lang yung combi meter meron na indicator, still have to check kung ano pa mga kulang. Sana makakuha tayo parts online, this would be a great diy

Wow sir zix. Are you really going to DIY it? You need to install wheel sensors for that.
BTW sir, paano niyo nalalaman yung wiring diagram ng montero natin?
    Thanks sir.

The ASTC compensates for the Montero's lack locking axle differentials (only the center differential locks).

It does this by applying the brakes individually on spinning wheels so the drive power can be transferred to the wheels on the opposite side and maintain forward progress.

Another option would be a Php50k ARB air locker. Requires more driver brain power but is better than traction control in almost all low traction off road situations.

The last locally available production vehicle to have a rear diff lock is the Nissan Patrol GQ (Safari).

Not only sa wheel, pati steering wheel may sensor din. If may makunan tayo ng complete parts, of course i would do it, pero kung hindi makukumpleto, sayang naman yung ibang parts na walang use.
I have a service manual, nandun lahat ng wirings, assemble , disassemble, etc. That is the program na ginagamit ng casa.

    that is seriously hardcore

personally, i would go with otep's suggestion and just install air lockers. i think the ASTC is geared more for semi-offroad use and should produce an effect similar to an LSD but using the brakes instead. i'm not a big fan of electronic stuff to control wheelspin using the brakes. i'm partial to either a differential solution (like an LSD - which is way too expensive to accomplish) or through lockers (like the ARB air locker). i don't like the electronic stuff because they're very prone to failure (darn electronic gremlins) on the long term and eventually end up being more problem than they're worth.

it's your car but if you don't mind my saying, allow me to dissuade you. you might be heading towards a huge headache on this project.

    just my opinion.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the MS already has the wheel sensors as well as the steering wheel sensor. yun cable reel you've replaced for the cruise control, integrated dun ang steering wheel sensor that is why that part is quite costly. Like this bro pero cannot do it on my rig, not a 4x4 kasi

Seriously, just PM me the part that you need and we can get it for less than 30% of the casa price. Even cheaper bro kesa mitsuparts online. meron akong friend na sa planta

Yes sir, i also read before on the internet the functions of LSD and ASTC. Kasi we have a car na may traction control.
More or less, they are an alternative to each other on offroad conditions. Maybe, the BK has M-ASTC since it doesnt have LSD (based on specs sa mitsu website). The GLS SE and GTV have LSD naman.
Pero the difference would be on the "stability" part. Here's a video:

The current GTV 4x4 already has a rear LSD =) . A true locker would be nice, though. Yup, silicone chips tend to fry themselves at the most unfortunate time. hehe.

And yes, I know some people who have had problems with the M-ASTC systems in their full size Pajeros. It can be difficult both to diagnose and fix at times.

ok, good luck then. please post pics of your build.

btw, here are pictures of one guy's build. he fitted ARB lockers to his range rover P38. it was a stealth installation which was really cool.
