Just got my GLS-V white last saturday from Jabez! Woohooo before leaving the casa I checked the smoking issue and idled it for quite a while, as of now no smoking issue except yesterday morning around 6:30am upon starting the engine with aircon immediately turned on. But when I reached the church around 10 minutes of travel for blessing I checked the muffler there is no more smoke. "I'll post some videos for references"

Audio controls are working, GPS/ Mid/ DVD tested before leaving casa, Alarm activated as well before leaving the casa, no tint I opted for 3m matts instead, power was a monster, felt my ride was a little bumpy compared when I test drove haven't checked the tire pressure though.

Left the casa with 60kms on the odo and now its 127 and I loving it.

But I have one question the only issue Im confused right now was there is no sound coming out from the tweeter located at the windows beside the side mirrors. My question is since the brochure says 4 speakers only, does that mean the tweeter is a design or (abang lang) if you opted to purchase your own tweeter, or my tweeter is just not working?

I tried it on the 1,000 PMS by bringing my unit to Mitsubishi dealer in Marcos Hiway. I got a good fast and very professional service from them.

BPI car loan advised us that they can get us a unit on Carworld(north luzon) which is far from our location (Q.C.)

will this be a problem in case i go with their proposal, get the unit from carworld in case i have some things needed to be done on the unit after we acquire it.

would it be better to just get the unit from dealers nearby (citi, diamond or union)

    or it doesn't really matter
I got my GLS-V from Carworld Pampanga and they delivered it to my office here in Makati. When it comes to PMS, I had it in Citimotors Makati. So no problem with that as long as it is an authorized Mitsubishi dealership/casa.

No problem yan IMO. Maliit lang difference eh.

Hi guys. With your indulgence, i'm hoping you can help me with my two queries on the 2011 Montero Sport. I'm planning to get one this year (hopefully sooner rather than later) and i'm targeting the GLS-V variant. (The GTV is great but mostly, i can't afford its price and i don't plan on using the 4x4 system anyway.)

    1) white/dark smoke -- based on readings on this thread, this looks like a common problem and might actually be a design/engineering problem. Apparently, the problem is relegated only to the MS VGT as strada's with the same engine do not exhibit this problem. My question is: does it seem like mitsubishi will address the problem soon? I'm trying to time my purchase and similar to the D4D problems of toyota, it took them a while to recognize and finally address the problem. If mitsubishi is going to address this problem, when would it be a good time to buy a unit? ...a month from now? ..a quarter from now? ..before the Christmas season?

    2) which dealer? -- i'm pretty privy to the goings on in casa's because i have friends and acquaintances who work in various casa's. Medyo may mga kalokohan talaga ang mga pinoy and sometimes, hindi ito umaabot sa upper management. Be that as it may, what casa can you guys recommend in metro manila? The thing is that ang mga kilala ko are from toyota and honda, and this is going to be my first (brand new) mitsubishi vehicle, ergo, mangangapa ako sa casa (outside my comfort zone).

Thanks in advance for your help.

Tama sir slight difference lang yan, but if they will give our bro an offset let say +15, it will surely stick out 1" of the fender. Our monty stock rims has a very high offset of +38. What usually out there in the market is between + 10-15 mm offset. Just get the right offset and everything is going to be perfect, even 28x10 is okay

sabi ng bank yung ibang dealer daw hindi nag bibigay ng FREE 3yr LTO reg. which is true coz i personally encountered this sa SA sa Q.ave dealer. kaya dun sila sa carworld nakipag usap. kaya plus points daw yun for carworld.

im also concerned about the INFAMOUS "headrest monitor cable-to-3MID cable" makakakuha din kaya ako sa carworld nito or rekta nalang sa winterpine. just in case matripan magpa lagay

From my experience, when I asked Carworld about it, di nila alam na walang cables yung OEM MID ng MS. They said I was the first to asked for it since that was last Feb pa, during the first batch of GLS-V's. So they turned me to Winterpine, which refused to sell the cables. Buti na lang tinulungan ako ng Carland na kumuha from Winterpine. I guess Carland still has extra cables since I advised them to get as many as they can dahil maraming MS na magpapainstall ng headrest monitors.

Yes that's true, they offer free LTO registration.

Just got my GTV. I tested it on idle and running. Absolutely no smoking issue. I just love this car! Thank you Lord.

    1. Best time to get it? NOW! Got my GLS-V last Feb pa and am very much satisfied. After the 1k, no smoke issues for me...

    2. Dealer? Got mine at DIAMOND QUE AVE. Everytime I pass by there(quite often also bec of my pajero), I see them releasing about 2-3 GLS-V... That was only during my short stays there...

Visited Citimotors this afternoon to inspect newly delivered white GTV.

Spoke to the agent at Citimotors in regards to warranty issues if I replaced my stock horns, upgrade to big 3 and sound system. He said any of the above will void my electrical warranty. Well -
    C'est la vie

    Selected my complementary 3m Tint.

Agent gave me a short tutorial on how to use paddle shifts and reset head unit.

Gave a couple of instructions to the agent before delivery to
    1. Deactivate Valet Mode
    2. Double check exhaust if it produces excessive white smoke when idling. (without load)

I am extremely grateful to everyone who has contributed to this post. I've learned a lot.

1st order of business visiting Mickey's Autosound to have a audio upgrade.

    This is my unit's case.

Hi to all, I got my Gemstone Gray Mica MS GLS-V last February and has already 2500 kms on the odometer. I have been reading the posts regarding the smoke issues on the Montero VGT. In my case, I haven't got any white smoke issues while idling since day 1 that I got my vehicle. Also, I have seen a lot of MS GLS-V and GTVs on the road and have been observing them and I seem not to notice any excessive smoking either. The only time my MS emitted gray smoke was when I floored the pedal and revved to about 3500 during overtaking. Well that's expected for diesel engines. I have been using Petron Turbo Diesel and I don't know if its a factor.

With regards to the steering, I don't mind the slight heaviness... in fact, haven't noticed it until you guys mentioned it.

Anyway, anybody knows how to deactivate the warning on DVD playback? Because I can't play DVDs while in motion... DVD plays only when the transmission is in park mode. Thanks and congrats to all Montero owners.
