I was disapponted on winterpine because they told us that they cannot install a tv on GLS-V because of the MID.they only installs tv on 2010 and below Montero Model. But Mitsubishi ASX MID comes with a tv tuner pre-installed........ Its just that our family loves watching tv.. hehe

I'm itching to install my FIAM 3 Horn air horn. The stock horn is so lame! Why cant stock SUV horns be "tough" enough. My friends Land cruiser oem horn doesnt fit that SUV.

Get the one from carryboy na lang instead of the EGR brand. matibay naman yang carryboy eh.

Confused with the pro and cons of a 4 speed GLS-V and 5 speed GT-V about fuel mileage in city and highway.

With highway speeds is the engine too loud say going 120km/h?

Am just going to use it mainly for city use with occasional trip out of town say once a month or none.

I don't mind the differences with the accessories and specification between the two so it just boils down to the drive train.

What are the available colors nowadays for the montero?

A little bit of information given by my SA is that Winterpine is the sole assembler and distributor of all Mitsubishi's car audio and electronic gadgets. Basically this company are the one who install our headunit, etc from the plant in Cainta Rizal. My SA told me also that electrical wiring will be void if ever you get an after market gadgets and not from casa but if it is from Winterpine they will not void it as well. WHHHHHATTTT?!! ( i am beginning to wonder if MMPC is in cahoots with this company)

Yup, that's correct. They are also the authorized provider of all those gadgets for Ford (everest), Isuzu (alterra).

question lamang po ay, why do they not include the rca harness wiring for the headrest monitors and back up camera, they intentionally omit this thing, so as we consumers will surely buy those gadgets from them and not from any other auto shops who offer less. i think someone here actually bought those harness wirings for 4k and install his/her own headrest monitors.

The accessories department of Mitsubishi dealers are all operated by Winterpine. According to my agent, he said if Winterpine installs anything electrical they then assume the warranty. Therefore, when you have something installed at Winterpine "Araneta" get a offical receipt which indicates the scope of work.

Is it cheaper to get at Winterpine Araneta = I think it depends... I was quoted 7000+ for the backup camera with installation. I know that Tsikot's shop in Taguig is offering way cheaper. But Winterpine has Hella Supertones 118 db at only PHP 1,500.00 all in. That is damn cheap considering the Hella Supertone is around $50.00 in the US.

I recommend that you shop around and checkout Tsikot's offerings, then you can compared and decide where to have your accessories installed. I always say haste makes waste.

Maybe winterpine is trying to monopolize the headrest monitors business for the new ms vgt variants. Sad to say, MMP is giving them the blessings to do this. Imagine that buyers have to rely on this forum to learn how to operate the MID & Alarm when MMP could easily provide a manual.

But this is a customer-driven industry. So if we can all just opt to get those monitors with built-in players for an additional P3K, instead of buying that wire harness/cable/adapter from winterpine which costs P3-4K.

And if any kind-hearted tsikoteer had bought this harness cable/adapter already, we will appreciate if you can share some pics. I'm sure we can buy this in raon, cdr-king or internet shops like amazon.

I've seen some photos of backup camera being sold online they all look like they take generic RCA cables. I might be mistaken. If they are just regular RCA cables they you just need to buy a specific length to run from your HU to your trunk.
