The SA must be mixed up. The 'standard' discount in line with MMPC single pricing is P20k on the GT-V. Must have been a typo.

    Ha Ha.

It is indeed good internet etiquette to name source of text/drawing/photo and give a link back. One should only give an excerpt and link to where excerpt came from, quoting author and owner. It is actually a legal requirement. That is why the moderator made this note to you. Tsikot could in fact be sued for theft of intellectual rights.

I wrote an article last November in Top Gear forum titled: 2011 Montero Sport - In: 2.5 vgt - Out: 3.2L SE

    with first line:

January will see the much awaited Mitsubishi Montero Sport VGT powered SUV in The Philippines.

If you GOOGLE either of these phrases (title or first line), you will see my article 'robbed' by many websites without reference to writer (me) or owner (Top Gear). Some say, 'Taken from another forum' which is not good enough. Some say nothing as if it was written by themselves.

I am not that bothered as I am not a professional writer; but it is still theft of intellectual rights.

Here IMO, is an example of how it should be done: http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78646

Brought my GLSv last saturday to my favorite shop to install headrest monitors. All going smoothly until the installers asked me about the extension cables needed for the said monitors. We've found out that the OEM sat nav head unit is AVT brand (Taiwan) and they have special extension sockets needed for installing amplifiers, monitors etc..So we called Winterpine, the sole supplier for Mitsubishi Phils. And according to them, they won't provide us the cables because they have exclusivity contract with Mitsubishi. Then I called my SA whom he forwarded the number of the Winterpine technician based in Carworld. To make the long story short, the technician agreed to install the headrests even though they didn't come from the CASA. So I will be going to Carworld Pampanga this thursday just to get those damn cables! That's how these "stealerships" make so much money from us. Btw, I got the monitors at 7k/pair...Casa? Mind boggling 15k!

Thatd weird and there is nothing special about the avt dvd head unit. I had headrest monitors and amps added and all my installer did for the minitors was to add so y jack connectors since the head unit has a couple if video outputs and rca jacks for the amp. Magulo lang the wiring if the avt compared to alpine and pioneer.

    Question:

Kung magpapa-reserve ka ng unit, diba kilangan muna magdownpayment diba? Planning to buy the GT-V this week pero plano ko during releasing nalang ako magbabayad straight cash using a manager's check/cheque.

SA told me that 50k is reservation fee. Same lang ba reservation fee sa downpayment that I'm expecting to fork out for the reservation? (just making sure)

It is not a reservation fee, but a reservation deposit.
When you go and order the vehicle to your spec; colour, extras you want etc. they would require such deposit. P50,000 is normal, as they may be ordering the vehicle in just for you and fitting the extras you requested.

A provisional booking deposit is a lot less as it just puts you on the waiting list.

Did the SA say he would have it this week? MMPC dis say the expected first units to go to dealers the second week in March (this week), but they missed the previous deadline set last month. Fingers crossed

According to SA, third week pa daw ng March. So it's in line to be released next week. Currently, I'm being asked to issue 50k as a "reservation fee" para mabilis pagkuha ng unit.

Some headsup for those who would have their 1k PMS. I had mine serviced last Friday. When I was about to go, I noticed that the warning/reminder displayed on screen that the unit is due for PMS still appears. It appears that the Service Advisors are not yet fully trained with our MID since they are not aware that there exists such a warning/reminder on screen. I told him that such warning already appeared when I started to reach 800kms.
At any rate, it was resolved after consulting with I dont know who :-) After making a long press on the service icon, they entered a 4-digit numerical code and the warning is gone.

When I inquired in the casa, I was also informed by the technician about this jack/socket which only Winterpine has. Siguro when Montero VGTs are again prevalent, baka there will be more sources of that jack/socket.

I also noticed that the casa sells the Mtech headrest monitor, quite pricey at P15k so hindi rin kami nagpakabit muna. Btw, san ka nakabili ng headrest monitor na P7k aand what brand is that? Thanks
