It was a cash sale (bank finance, not in-house) and of course, not zero kms anymore after they drove the car from Pampanga all the way to Makati. I had that much discount because I was able to beat the deadline on Feb 28. Now, according to my SA, they offer only 10k discount + LTO and standard freebies.

it's regarding mitsubishi montero sudden acceleration.

A case of the driver slamming on the accelerator instead of the brake would be most peoples' conclusion from the details given. It would not be the first time that happened and will not be the last.

That link was already posted earlier in the thread

Great for you GTI. The reason I asked was that the dealer in question had some test units. Also the other users on here beat the deadline you spoke of but did not get anywhere near P41k off the price.
So count yourself lucky, drive safely, and post us a few photos please

i am currently in costa rica and montero is really different from montero sports with regards to platform and looks.

montero here in latin america is more almost like or malapit sa itsura ng pajero...again montero sports of the philippines is not like montero.

ibang iba ang form...ultimong spare tire e nasa likod or rear door nakakabit ang montero dito...

Ask them how much discount on top of the standard P20k and P10k for both GTV and GLSV respectively.

Wow. That text is glaring after spending much of the day in searing sun of Southern Leyte.

Well if your bank got the quote and not you; you will never really know what deal they did. There is commission on loans plus discounts to those financing. That is the way things work.

Probably the bank gave up some of their's and the dealership gave them some extra discount.
It matters not Sir MdAlCapone; as long as you feel you got a good deal overall; and your deposit and payments are low.

How about insurance? Did you go solo or get from bank/casa. Casa are asking up to P56k including AoG and 3yr TPL.

I got a quote from Standard for P43,800 including AoG and 3yr TPL; or P5.2k less w/o AoG.
AoG seems very high at P4,170 + 25% tax seeing as I live in a flood free zone.

* EXPATIO: i made the deal on my own... last January i applied for a loan haggling from bank to bank and the best offer was 26.5% interest for a 60 month term loan... then since the first week of February i had been scouting the best deal a CASA can give... there is no deal between the bank and the CASA because they never had a chance to settle things for me but i settle things for them... i guess this is it then...

Great Stuff Md_AC. Yes this is it.
All you have to do is wait now for them to release it. Should be next week or the week after. Mine will probably be another week after you; to allow for shipping.

Colour?

Mine will be black.

How about insurance?

The benifits of installing rear roof spoiler on SUV's:

A specially designed rear spoiler could increase the fuel efficiency of minivans and SUVs, according to a new study detailed in Green Car Congress. The study reveals that such a spoiler could both reduce drag and nearly eliminate aerodynamic lift—effectively saving several miles per gallon worth of gas consumption.
The researchers used principles of fluid dynamics and ran numerical simulations in order to craft an ideal design for a spoiler specifically designed for bluff-backed vehicles. The study was published in the International Journal of Vehicle Design, and it found "that the aerodynamic drag and lift on a mini-van moving at 108 kph (67 mph) are reduced by 5% and more than 100%, respectively, when the new spoiler is attached to it."
And those numbers, especially the inconsequential-seeming 5 percent of drag relief, can add up to major fuel savings:
"65% of the power required for ground vehicles to travel on a highway at 70 miles per hour is being consumed due to aerodynamic drag, the reductions from the spoiler could increase fuel economy by up to several miles per gallon."

It should be emphasized how different this spoiler is from those we're accustomed to seeing on performance cars, and the small ones already installed on some SUVs and minivans—these spoilers may appear a little strange by comparison:
"Conventional spoilers resemble an inverted plane wing and generally work by increasing the downward force on the back of the vehicle as well as improving the flow of air across the bluff rear. The new rear spoiler resembles a wave in profile rather than a wing."

I am so eager to put on Bosche Europas (bing.bing)
It was my first upgrade, after a week from getting my unit. I had Bosch Europa installed at Winterpine in their Araneta branch. I was told Winterpine is also the in-house accessories provider/installer of Union Motors Corporation. Though I found out as well that it's a little cheaper if you have the accessories bought/installed outside of casa/dealership.
