Hi,

This is the 4th times that the SCV warning light displayed on my panel, in less than a month this was attended by mits shop , sabi ko kailan lang pinalitan ninyo ang SCV, then ito naman umilaw uli. My question is, has anybody tried third party auto shop carry out the cleaning of SCV or EGR & how much they charge you ? Makita ko lang sana paano ginagawa, then I can DIY palagay ko this will be perennial problem for our truck that we need to be acquainted in DIY cleaning ,if it is not a demanding & difficult job. Sana some one post easy steps instructions for us to follow.

im using 3.2 MT , just like to ask I noticed that when I maintained the RPM at 2k to 2500 I noticed na parang nabubulunan yun engine, hindi pino yun takbo. SCV po ba ang sira nito,

Ganito rin issue ko dati (pero sa 2.5). Ang ginawa ay intake manifold and EGR cleaning. Dahil wala daw warning light, hindi covered ng warranty. Mga 3k to 4k yata singil. Hindi parin nawala so binalik ko the following week, nakalimutan daw nila i-bleed yung SCV. Ok na after that.

I just got my Strada last Tuesday. And today. I just got back from the casa with Montero Sport mags installed. I wanted to share the pics below.

I just noticed na maganda talaga ang handling ng strada kapag puno ang truck bed. Katulad kanina, my old mags were there.

Initial assessment ko, mas masarap yung stock tires kasi mas manipis, mas madali mag-manuever compared to these 17 inch rims and wider tires.

Pero mas maganda lang talaga tignan and mas stable.



Question po on our Head Unit: It's supposed to be compatible with iPhone. Pero it can't read my iPhone 4 and my friends IPod touch. Any ideas po?

Remote Alarm unresponsive at times
Squeaky rear suspension or spring? - puwede pa-grease mo
Sh*tty horn - palitan na yan ng Bosch or FIAMM

Napansin ko din po itong alarm sometines unresponsive. I think the batteries are weak. Kasi yung "spare" ko po, minsan kahit 5 meters ang layo ko, it can lock/unlock my unit.

Yung horn ay parang si road runner. I can't help but laugh kasi medyo comedy ang tunog hahaha! Yung tipong stress na stress ka na sa trapik... tapos merong panget magmaneho sa kalsada na minumura mo na.... tapos bubusinahan mo at ang lalabas na tunog ay... *pit *pit! COMEDY.

HAHAHA. Matatawa ka talaga e.

partner scv cannot be cleaned, pag may problem iteo pinapalitan na yan. EGr pwede pa linisin basta hindi malaki ang sira ng calve seat nito and magnetic switch..

please also take into consideration na sensitive ang fuel injection system ng crdi, if you get dirty fuel your fuel system will be totally screwed

mga strada and montero walang a/c filter. i just did a diy on mine, just check the threads to see what it looks like

Yung mga nagkabit po ng aluminum roller lids, hindi po ba makalampag ang aluminum?

I am looking at 2 models, yung sa carryboy po at yung sa camper shells Pace Edwards. Mas maganda po ata sa strada yung sa camper shells.

And ang purpose ko po pala is to protect my luggage from the rain. Hindi po ba talaga pumapasok ang tubig?

I've noticed, may pumapasok na amoy through the aircon bawat dadaan sa mga mausok na lugar. Ganito din ba sa mga strada niyo sir?

Also ang bilis mawalan ng karga ng compressor. On our MS, sandali lang mag-load ang compressor and when it shuts off, matagal ulit bago mag-engage unlike on our Strada.

Mga ibang problema pa ng Strada GLX-V namen:

Same problem with the aircon system....35 k na strada ko and the SA advised na sa 40 k na galawin.....kasi sched daw ng ac cleaning......... Sabi nya dalawa daw ung ac filter...isa sa may likod ng glove box at sa likod ng evaporator...... To think of na 15 k pa ako nag complain...... Sa squeaky leaf spring....may kinabit ung casa in between springs at nawala ung tunog, tumas din ng 16mm ung rear ko after, sa 15 k din nag simula un....advise ng iba light oil or grease.... Pero dapat daily..............sa horn..... Was my second modification....3 days after i got my unit.... (one day after i brought it home)

dunno about the ac filter.... my guess he might be reffering to the vents na may foam thing...... kasi kahit naka close ang vent pasok parin ang amoy ng usok galing labas.......

Its my shortcoming to mentioned the SCV na nililinis, what I mean is EGR, possible bang in one year time to change SCV valves dalawang beses or more. Im not 100 percent sold sa fuel problem, dahil petron & shell lang ang pina-patronize ko, I hope im wrong na the SCV problem is caused solely by dirty fuel, it can be beyond that. If the Casa will suggest to change again the SCV, then I will try the other brand (Bostich) kung pwede.

pashare naman yung air filter element sa aircon, because i usually got o the warehouse and other dusty places, i think the filter for the AC will be good for my truck....

hello everybody, I have a glx strada bought dec2010. After 2 to 3 months maingay na yung leaf spring sa likod. May squeky sound. Yung friend ko din ganun din. Halos magkasabay lang kami bumili. Binalik ko sa kasa. inalign daw at retighten ng bolts. Pero after a few weeks maingay nanaman. Anybody experience this with their strada? Ano ba ang ginawa nyo sa Strada nyo para di pabalik balik yung ingay? Thank you.

Kc, medyo may issues pa kasi ako with the cost of the filter element that i put on my unit, medyo masyado siyang harang for a disposablefilter, i am actually in talks with some folks who can make me a washable filter for only a third of the rice of the disposable one... I will keep youguys posted on this... Hopefully by the end of the month i can be able to come out with a sample of the filter for the a/c units

Rts, actually there is nothing else that you can consider when it comes to the scv aside from the fuel.. Regardlessof where you get your fuel, there wil always be the possibility of contamintatn. Kasi pwedeng madumi nayung mga storage tanks nila, or yung mga delivery trucks nila madumi nayung containers... Madami pwedeng maging source ng contamination forthe fuel that you buy, kaya kahit na shell ba yan, petron or woever, it does ot really guarantee you clean fuel. My suggestion is thatif the casa will change your scv free of charge go for it, if not, try to contact dadz here in our threads, kasi he can source a more forgiving scv valve for you. Kasi the valves that are alreadypre installed on the current trucks are very sensitive to fueltypes and contaminants.
The only series of trucks that were lucky enough to get the more forgiving scv's were the first batches of trucks that were delivered here late 2006 when the stradas first came out.....

S the only thing left for you to do is try to change your service station to some one more suitably located, has a relatively well maintained pump and the statinpremises are clean, most probably maingat din ito sa storage nang fuels niya.. Well mhopefully ganito pa din ngayun...
