Its been long I have not logged in in this forum the last was page 70+ and lot way to read up to the last page but decided to skip reading other pages.

After reading some issues on previous page regarding keyless remote if in case the battery losses power I experimented taking out the battery of my remote and placed it inside the slot under globe compartment. I found out it would start without the battery. Wow! another knowledge found. I dunno if the car manuals has an information of this coz in my entire driving with my ASX I have read only 5% of it.

Has anyone upgraded the speakers of their ASX GLS? I remember seeing one in the thread pero di ko na mahanap.

I haven't upgraded the speakers/headunit. But honestly, I would prefer to upgrade the headunit if it's possible to somehow retain functionality of the steering wheel controls.

Sir GH, do you have a GLS variant? 2 din na AVT yung HU. I upgraded my speakers and added an amplifier but the sound is not really what I expected it to be. Very limited kasi yung audio controls (subs, treble, bass). So I guess kailangan ko rin pala mag palit ng HU. Sayang lang kasi yung GPS function that I find very useful pag out of town.

Medyo OT: would you suggest to get an equalizer/processor instead of getting a new HU?

I have the GLS. The headunit is really the limiting factor. Even adding an equalizer will somewhat improve the sound BUT you will still be dealing with a bad source with limited file handling for MP3 and video files. It would be better to find a branded (Pioneer, Sony, etc) 2DIN headunit with GPS function.

Okay... Now that is a sad news. Looks like extra gastos na naman to. I already notice the audio controls but I was hoping that if I put an amp maging okay yung sounds. I didn't change my HU kasi sa montero when I upgraded my speakers and planing to do the same sa asx.

If you will see the stock speakers & scrutinize the cone, you will probably wont hesitate to change the speakers.

Me, changed the two front speakers only & I'm satisfied to the sound quality.

I did changed my car speakers, including tweaters but it was done by Mickeys. Focal ang ipinalit ko and pinalagyan ko din ng sound deadening mat. Also bought a Pioneer subwoofer and place it under the passenger seat. Nice sounds

Wow! Nice sir. Medyo budget lang yung setup ko. JBL GTO lang sir. Balak ko nga Polk pero namamahalan ako e.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Xenon headlight retrofit. Should I wait for my 1,000 km PMS (I'm at 700 km now after about a month) or you don't think I will have a problem with the casa? Thanks.

Has anyone experience problems with the hand brake? Kanina kasi nag pa carwash ako tapos nung pinupunasan nila, the car was moving a bit. Nung tumayo sila sa tires para punasan yung bubong gumagalaw yung car (nag move back and forth a bit). Pero naka hand brake ako nun at naka park. Ang alam ko pag naka hand brakes ka dapat d gagalaw yun diba.

Baka naman hindi lang na engaged ng maayos kaya nag move. In case ok naman pag pull mo ng hand brake, I guess it's time for you to have it adjusted, sandali lang yan at pwede mo ipa adjust sa casa, bro.

Larry, Tintry ibaba uli yung hand breaks and pull it up harder but with the same result. Baka kailangan lang talaga ipa-adjust sa next PMS ko. Thanks

(maliit at manipis lang yun, madaling maupod lalo na pag nakakalimutan mong irelease ng madalas.hehehe)
