The K&N part number for the drop in air filter is 33-2392. That is what i used in my previous ASX. Check this link 33-2392 - K&N Replacement Filters, Replacement Air Filter

With the air filter, it will only add a few HP (around 5 or 6 I think) so you will not feel the difference. But if done with headers & piggyback ECU, the total HP increase is much bigger.

You can hear an increase in air-intake noise with the drop-in filter... but an open type is more noticable.

You might be able to use the open-type air filter pipe from the Lancer EX. You can try contacting SPEEDLAB if they have one available so you can do a test fitting.

thanx for the info. i really like an open type, but wala kasi available even K&N for drop-in type lang meron nila. hindi sila gumawa sa "Typhoon Series"

Try contacting SPEEDLAB. They have developed their own open-intake for the Lancer EX. Many mods from the Lancer EX can be used for the ASX due to similarity of components.

As for HP gain difference between the drop-in and open element, based on dyno figures from Lancer EX tests, it's between 1 to 2 hp less for the K&N drop-in vs the K&N open element filter.

Wala masyado sipol effect K&N drop in air filter.
Yes, changed to Mazda CX 5 due to maliit para sa amin ang trunk space which we need.

Hmm, halatang fabricated at mukhang ok lang, as in ok lang din kung stock lang din sya! Or black color na lang din yung staintes plate na cover/guide ng pipe.

Type ko pa kung rear fog lamp ang pinakabit sa likod.

That's an original mod kit from ROAR, Japan! Seen that from their brochure but decided against buying it because it is very expensive!

How is ASX Better? Actually we are very satisfied with Lancer EX MX 1.6 and thinking of getting ASX because of it, and just comparing it with XV or CX5, so can you please enlighten me. Thanks.

Problem is XV/Impreza is heavier than ASX.
Another problem is XV/Impreza is 4 wheel drive, ASX is 2 wheel drive.

The effect is the percieved lackluster performance of Subaru. :/

It not because I have more power under my hood, the current Impreza and XV simply feels as if it has no power.

I have driven the previous model Subaru Impreza 2.0L and the new model simply has no power to accelerate.

The added weight and drag of the AWD does have its drawback on the car's performance. Having driven the ASX 4WD version back to back with the 2WD version, you can really feel the difference in performance.

Just saying, the previous model Impreza 2.0 was more fun to drive.

Mga Sirs Pa OT lang saglit. Hingi din ng konting advice. Kasi two weeks ago napadaan ako sa under pass along edsa(buendia/ayala yata) bigla bumulaga yun isang medyo malalim na pothole. Ang lakas ng kalabog nung right side ng gulong sa harap. Kala ko may tama na mags dahil dun. Pag dating ko sa bahay tinignan ko wala naman ako makita. Last week umuwi ako probinsya may naririnig akong parang tunog ng bakal na tumatama sa baka din sa right side sa harap. Naririnig ko lang to pag mabilis ang takbo(70 and above) especially sa mga patse patseng daan na may konting lubak marami kasing ginagawang daan. Pag mabagal normal lang ang tunog. 13 months pa lang tong Asx. Kung ipapatingin ko ba to sa casa covered ba ng warranty? or sa insurance? sensya na mga sirs wala ko alam sa mga sira kung may sira nga. TIA.
