ganyan den with my previous AVT unit and they cannot charge newer versions of the Iphone and Ipod that is why I bought that adapter. I don't think the makers of AVT is officially part of the Apple ecosystem kaya their units cannot charge newer models ng Apple or with some cases can only play x number of songs. I guess they do not want to invest to get the latest update. If you notice with branded units such as Pioneer and Alpine, if Apple releases an update included in the update are fixes for any issues with the integration between Apple and their with their HU. There should be a CD-R King version out there already since this issue 1st came about sometime late 2009 or 2010 and I've been using the adapter since 2010.

The charging issue is also similar to why you cant charge your iphones and ipods beginning 2009 with you circa 2008 ipod chargers.

The revised ASX would probably be next year as the 2013 model. But essentially its the same vehicle, no real benefits in waiting for it if you need a car now.

ASX is the Outlander Sport, smaller version of Outlander. Just like the Montero/Pajero Sport, smaller version of Montero/Pajero.

Regarding the 2013 Mitsu Outlander, it's going to be released locally next year. It'll have a 2.0L engine, six speed AT, AWD and three row seating.

Yup,... as to the info I got. 2.0L 4J11 Mivec engine with six speed AT and AWD. Also the Outlander will have a supposedly lighter but stiffer chassis to help save fuel by reducing weight.

Mga boss, I'm planning to get an ASX GLS (2WD A/T) next month. I'm a bit clueless about the differences between this year's GLS and GLS SE apart from the 4WD, 7 airbags, 6 speakers and retractable side mirrors.

Mitsubishi's sales agents don't seem to have the answers and I can't even get hold of this year's ASX brochure because they don't have one. So can somebody please enlighten me?

Specifically, I want to know if the 2012 GLS has a parking sensor and reverse camera. Am I right to assume it doesn't have Hill Start Assist and Active Stability Control? It does have On/Off and Cruise Control, right? Any other differences? Thanks in advance.

P.S. Meanwhile, I was told the GLS SE doesn't have a sun roof, unlike its counterparts abroad.

Thank you. About the brochure, for one, it says "keyless operation + engine start/stop button" is limited to the GLS SE.

My sales agent also insists the GLS also has HID headlamps. Is this correct? Thanks for your help.

Might as well ask you this: I suppose you're referring to this reverse camera:

    Ebay link
The seller claims this CCD camera is better than the usual CMOS type. Does it have a built-in light to replace the ASX's built-in plate light? It's not obvious in the picture.

I'm also thinking of getting a side camera (I'm a newbie driver and want to see what's on the right side) =B) Will something like this work?

    Ebay link
It's supposed to be installed under the side mirror, but how exactly will the cables go inside the vehicle? Thanks!

The ASX back camera fits into a pre-cut hole on the left of the license plate area. You do not have to remove any of the existing license plate lights. The hole is currently covered by a plastic piece.
