I think prices of the GT model is estimated to be under P1.2M, I think thats just right for a CBU from Japan car, besides its fully loaded just like its big SUV brother, the Outlander GLS Sport.

The estimated price of just under P1.2M is for the loaded 2.0 liter CVT GT model.
They did say they plan to release a lower model below the GT.
They will most likely delete the bodykit, spoiler, Rockford Fosgate sound system, side airbags, and it will probably come with smaller 16 inch wheels. It could be called a "GLS" and should look similar to the USDM Lancer ES.

They have to go 1.8 for 800K to be competitive (ford, honda)

The current engines available for the 2008 Lancer in Asia are the 1.5 MIVEC(Singapore) and 2.0 MIVEC.
In Europe its the 1.5 MIVEC, 1.8 MIVEC and the 2.0 diesel.

Have they confirmed if the 1.8 MIVEC and the 2.0 diesel of the euro market Lancer will be launcehd in Asia?

I like the Diesel M/T engine of Australia, sana meron lumabas sa atin. para siguradong wala siyang competitors sa Toyota and Honda. Corolla and Civic are aimimg for a family sedan entry, Corolla being a people carrier sedan and Civic with a big sluggish body for people carrier; but Lancer is a sport sedan.
