Two things lang...
1. This Lancer IN STOCK FORM is already more rigid than the EVO IX! (sabi nung lancerproject.com)
2. Mistubishi better hurry up their fat marketing asses and get this evil car on the road quick before the competitors can counter.

WOW! The picture above (red one), is it the Evo X or top of the line lancer? Concept car?
freeloader,
its the Concept X... The Lancer EVO X will be based on that.

The new generation Lancer is also called "Lancer EX" in some other markets like Singapore for example.
I guess this also marks its slightly upmarket image... sort of like the Corolla "Altis" when it replaced the old Corolla.
I have a feeling that the standard 1.6 liter Lancer will continue as a cheaper variant.
The Galant Fortis is the JDM Lancer.Originally Posted by pajerokid
I guess because the new Lancer has grown a bit bigger and more upmarket, they decided to call it "Galant Fortis" in Japan, aside from that the last Galant sold in Japan was the shark-nose 8th gen Galant.
I guess because of tradition... the Evo X will still be badged as a Lancer in Japan.
any specs on this baby? im a civic fan but with this baby, iL do a turncoat as fast as our politicians haha
astig talaga .. dami ko nakuha na pic nung car show .. this lancer truly put mitsubishi again in the market heheheh

A co-member over MLPH asked for a quotation for the Lancer EX GT.
Here it is:
(I don't know how accurate this is, but it would have been better if it was lower!) :DQuote from one of their sales executives a guy named Joal M. Canapi from CitiMotors. Here's his version of the pricing +/- 20k daw dahil di pa confirmed:
Unit Price of the Lancer EX - GT (eto yung nakadisplay) = 1,125,000
Downpayment of 50% is P 562,520
Insurance: P 43,826
Chattel Mortgage: P 20,045
LTO Registration (3 yrs): P 12,000
Net Cash Outlay: P 638, 371
Net Monthly:
60 months - 13,514
48 months - 15,699
36 months - 19,618
Due for release daw by November and is now accepting reservations.
Please note that this quote is by no means official and subject to change pa.
Its CBU from Japan, has a Rockford Fosgate sound system with a 10 inch subwoofer, has curtain airbags(!), comes with standard 18 inch alloys... I think the estimated P1.125M price for the GT 2.0 is just right.
The Civic 2.0S-L which is priced at P1.117M doesn't even have those features above...
The sales guy did mention they will offer a lower trim level, of course no details.
I'm guessing they will probably offer the 2.0 liter Lancer EX Sport or Lancer GLS? with smaller 17 or 16 inch wheels, regular stereo, no big rear wing etc.
In Singapore they even have entry level Lancer EX 1.5 Elegance and 1.5 Sport models, yes, they're powered by a 109PS 4A91 1.5 liter DOHC MIVEC engine.
The 1.5 MIVEC is probably too small for the RP compact class, so I assume they will just bring in the lower trim 2.0 liter models.

for a price of P1.2M its the most expensive Japanese Compact Sedan in the market. pero at least top of the line talaga equipment nya. AUTO, 18" rims, RockFord Fosgate sound system.... i hope bumenta 'to. for Mitsubishi's sake.... but i would want one with a common rail diesel pls. kasi sa dami ng body reinforcements nya (weighing at 1385kg) cgurado medyo di eto kasing tipid ng Civic..... (but probably it doesn't have to....). pero if i won d Lottery siempre Evo-X na. ha ha!
i think 1.125m is pretty reasonable for a fully speced up 2.0 lancer considering the 2.0 civic is going for 1.117m with crappy paddleshifters and without the excellent RF system, the 18" wheels and lesser airbags.
