what if they have used hollow blocks? do you think the explosion would just shatter them in proportions (still hard but at least smaller)?

Wala pa rin latest update si Mar Roxas..? The next thing he should do is make sure incompetent bureaus like that NDR..something (can't they think of easier to remember or shortened acronyms..) relegated back door rather than create confusions, declaring half-baked, unauthorized statements to the media..anim daw ang patay..ibang klase talaga..

If they used hollow blocks, the explosion would have done the same damage except that you will now have thousands of smaller fragments weighting from a few grams to a few kilograms capable of flying further than the wall panel traveled to the van. Each of the larger fragments would be more than enough to seriously hurt or even kill a person on the street across from the explosion. Given that, it would be a worst alternative if hollow blocks were used.

Maybe. But have you need people after they have been hit by a big flying rock or concrete piece in a car? Death or serious injury still resulted. It may not killed all three in the truck but using CHB (comcrete hollow blocks) would have resulted in at least MORE injuries or even more wide spread deaths from flying debris (fragments of CHB).

A resident was able to take clear pictures of the unit that exploded.

Personally, I think napakiusapan sina Roxas and Pnoy ng mga Ayala to personally handle the incident because it will hurt their business and reputation. Good thing it happened on a Friday night. Try to check the shares of Ayala-linked companies (e.g. Ayala Land), it may drop substantially, hehehe. People sti ll remember the Glorietta incident.
Well, it was dumb Roxas himself who mentioned he will give a presscon at 10am the next day. No body asked, it only came from his big mouth and only to say the same thing he already mentioned the previous night. Napaso na cya, tumahimik na lang cya and just leave it to the PNP to do the talking. The more he talks, the more stupidity he shows.

He was just short of saying, i am the target of this explosion. Parang kidnap mo ako effect, to snowball his 2016 campaign.

Not really anything new in the news... we already figured it was a gas explosion. And that the condo was only being rented by temps lends more credence to the possibility that someone left the gas on and no one noticed (if they were in at the time, they would have smelled it?)

    -

A CHB wall might have saved the delivery driver's life, since the debris would have scattered further out, but would have carried the possibility of killing/injuring/maiming more people.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Renter is person of interest but in critical condition. Baka suicide?

Highly unlikely. If you want to kill yourself, there are easier ways to do it than to blow up your own condo.

Not really. From the news, the care taker visited the unit accompanied by a security guard as renter never answered her call.
After figuring out his in the unit, she went back to the parking area to wait for the renter as they were supposed to have dinner
together. It was at this point the explosion occurred. It was the same security guard who pulled out the renter from the explosion
    to be send to hospital.
