Ang notorious sa amin sa North nung HS senior year was the CHED scholarship. Only 1 or 2 were accepted (compared to 10++ kami sa DOST) and rumors were they were connected with the higher-ups.

For scholarship recommendations, SM foundation seems to be generous with such. My brother was a scholar. They were not too strict with grades (we'll at least compared to DOST and my company's). May decent looking watch giveaway pa sila after graduation haha
