If you drive mostly highways, you already have the best method of cleaning the engine. Italian tuning. Very good for you. No need for cleaning additives.

Yeah depends on the car, higher octane usually benefits high power engines. Engines designed for economy won't benefit much.

First time to try 95 on my CX5 and i feel the car's performance is better than the 91 RON.

    First time fueling up - recently obtained a 2015 CX-5 2.0.

Manual says to use 91RON (minimum). But thinking of loading it with 95. I am willing to pay more if it has substantial benefit both in terms of performance and maintenance (?).

    Driving half city, half highway.

CX-5 experts, what would you suggest?

    Thanks!

Unless its a turbocharged car or its stated in the manual to use premium, I'd just stick with regular unleaded.

    not a mazda expert, but

if the engine computer can recognize the ron 95, it might adjust and give you a bit more km/li.
otherwise, it's spending more money but for the bragging rights only.
    good luck.

Gives more power, not better fuel efficiency ...

1st hand, it'll do both w/ the proper tune. Stock won't squeeze more ponies out premium petrol. OVT used to serve various safe custom Skyactiv tunes, before moving on to Yotas under VFTuner.
