Yesterday on my way home from mazda makati for the 6th month PMS, my m3 was hit by an SUV.

She admitted her fault and said that her foot just slipped. The lady was in her early 60s. She was kind to us and paid for the 200php police report and 40php photocopy fee. Both party has insurance.

My m3 is well-maintained, low reading (1,900km). I hand-wash it once every two weeks since day 1.

I just want to ask how small damages like these are handled by the insurance company and mazda casa. Thanks!

Luggage bags and groceries. Halimbawa 5 persons and uphill ay hindi ba mahihirapan yung 1.5?

The 3 will spoil any owner...new, seasoned or even the jaded. Having gone thru & worked on various nippon, US & euro badges, this 1 pretty much caught, surprised & held me.
Yes, it's my 1st Mazda experiment & adventure....and, am I impressed!!! A lot of car for the money. Plus Yojin!!!!
The driving experience? Like a euro, but more reliable & a much lesser diva.
The interiors? 2 words: Premium. Minimalist.
The engineering? Find me a high compression NA engine that doesn't ping on regular fuel...That's the Skyactiv.
The tranny? No CVT, no DCT woes!!! Hands down, the best in its class.
Room? I haul full all the time. Good leg room out front, enough out back. Not the best, but works. A mountain bike fits without wheel removal in the hatch trunk w/ rear seats down.
1.5 power? Enough, but should you want more....there's that virus.....OrangeVirusTuning.
Surprises? Glances, 2nd, 3rd & stares your way.
2 years of Mown3rship in & it still feels like day 1.....Like many here, this pic would aptly reflect the purchase...

Just a warning tho, sir, should you land a 3, you'll surely have difficulty finding the perfect next car. And, you might end up a Mazda fanboy like this ex-sceptic & convert...

Well, if you have a sedan then it would be like owning every other compact sedan , though the other trunk spaces are bigger , it's not by a lot (probably a small knapsack advantage)
The engine displacement naman is no biggie like any car stick to 1st or 2nd gear. You would be surprised how mazda3 little engine pulls . It's no v6 or v8 but it's one of the more powerful 1.5s out there.
It's stronger than a Vios but not as strong as a Jazz BUT the jazz has a cvt I think, which delays the power during shifts (so temporary power loss) while the mazda3 has a traditional so power comes in immediately. So in climbing up hills it would be better as momentum won't be interrupted while in a CVT the transmission will have to choose the appropriate gear ratio so a slight delay (rubber feel cvt transmissions suffer from) hope this helps

If you need the space regularly, consider the Toyota Corolla Altis or the new Honda Civic.

I've seen loaded 50-year old VW Beetles and 3K-engined OTJs climb Baguio. Surely a modern engined 1.5L car can do it.

Yes, I think I got the last one 2 weeks ago hehe. The SA told me it was the last one, & next batch would be in September (she didn't mention it would be the facelift though). I thought it was BS to pressure me to get it, but I was really gonna get it anyway hehe.

Hi guys, I'm not sure if this topic has been covered already but anyway, does anyone know or experienced
using CTek battery charger for Mazda 3 with the special battery? Compatible or not? Since Ctek is suppose
to charge and condition your car battery to prolong its life. It would be great if it can extend the life of
    the mazda special istop battery.

    Look for CTEK CT5

    Info from CTEK:
"The CTEK START/STOP Battery Charger & Maintainer has been specially designed to provide safe and easy charging and maintenance for vehicles equipped with the new generation START/STOP technology.

To ensure the vehicle's START/STOP function operates effectively to deliver maximum fuel efficiency and minimum environmental impact, the battery has to be properly charged and maintained. This also maximizes battery lifetime and gives optimal reliability – avoiding unexpected and costly replacements.

The CTEK START/STOP Battery Charger & Maintainer is a practical and simple to use charger with an easy to understand display. It is non-sparking, reverse polarity protected and short-circuit proof, and comes with a 5 year warranty."
