T'was initially the speculated launch period of the Mazdaspeed/MPS 3 version which they seem to have abandoned in favor or the RX resurrection.
Now, we only likely have the facelift to look forward to. So far, in the initial head-to-head reviews vs others & the 2016 Civic , the 3 seems to be holding its ground as the favored amongst compacts. Realistically, the latter, being H-badged, new & packing more horses w/ the 1.5 turbo, is expected to outsell the 3. Let's see how Mazda reacts![]()
The price of the new honda civic will be a key factor too.. IMO the FD sold way better than the current Civic because the FD is cheaper

expect the facelift of our 3 sometime in 2017, and changes limited to a few cosmetic changes and some upgraded features.
a good basis is the facelifted cx5, they didn't change much in its mid cycle refresh/facelift.
I saw a white 3 last Saturday, parked beside Ritz's silver hatch in Ortigas where we played badminton.
Not sure if he's a member here, but his white AMG-looking rims looked really classy on his white sedan. [emoji1360]

like berjaya will release the real mazda speed 3 version locally, haha asa (that's even if mazda releases one for the BM gen), these japanese manufacturers/distributors never bring in performance models because of very low sales sadly.
personally the new civic looks ugly, as is their whole corporate design recently, the locally released legend of the mid 90s looks even better than the newly released onei'd rather buy the new altis over the 10th gen civic solely based on looks. our 3 still is the best looking
.
if honda ph will release the same engine for the ph market, good luck with their pricing, being a 2 litre as the base model and 1.5 turbo being the totl variant it will surely be expensive here. i believe they will come up with a lower displacement NA engine for asian markets, and either the 2 litre or 1.5 litre as totl.
Well most Euro brands are practically bespoke so orders are more of a rule rather than an exception. Kaya nga if you look at the price guides of local car magazines, when you get to the Euro sections, they're all TBA/Call for pricing. Pero mukhang malabo rin na magpasok ng Speed versions. Yung regular versions nga hirap sila mapunan ang mga orders.
Sana skyactiv rotary engine ang ilabas na mazda3 speed, with turbo perhaps. [emoji1316]
