Mazda might be milking the current design's perfect balance, delaying that refresh & awaiting competition to throw everything at them....
The Civic is packing some solid punch....But...CVT.

T'was initially the speculated launch period of the Mazdaspeed/MPS 3 version which they seem to have abandoned in favor or the RX resurrection.
Now, we only likely have the facelift to look forward to. So far, in the initial head-to-head reviews vs others & the 2016 Civic , the 3 seems to be holding its ground as the favored amongst compacts. Realistically, the latter, being H-badged, new & packing more horses w/ the 1.5 turbo, is expected to outsell the 3. Let's see how Mazda reacts

The price of the new honda civic will be a key factor too.. IMO the FD sold way better than the current Civic because the FD is cheaper

expect the facelift of our 3 sometime in 2017, and changes limited to a few cosmetic changes and some upgraded features.

a good basis is the facelifted cx5, they didn't change much in its mid cycle refresh/facelift.

Not just pricing...the FD styling was ageless, needed no aesthetic enhancements. Simpler. The FB's was just ummmm......how do I put it?.....a Civic?
With the new 1, Honda seems to have set its sights on knocking down the 3.....
    Can Rousey return? We'll see.

I saw a white 3 last Saturday, parked beside Ritz's silver hatch in Ortigas where we played badminton.

Not sure if he's a member here, but his white AMG-looking rims looked really classy on his white sedan. [emoji1360]

like berjaya will release the real mazda speed 3 version locally, haha asa (that's even if mazda releases one for the BM gen), these japanese manufacturers/distributors never bring in performance models because of very low sales sadly.

personally the new civic looks ugly, as is their whole corporate design recently, the locally released legend of the mid 90s looks even better than the newly released one i'd rather buy the new altis over the 10th gen civic solely based on looks. our 3 still is the best looking .

if honda ph will release the same engine for the ph market, good luck with their pricing, being a 2 litre as the base model and 1.5 turbo being the totl variant it will surely be expensive here. i believe they will come up with a lower displacement NA engine for asian markets, and either the 2 litre or 1.5 litre as totl.

At best siguro "by order basis" like the old Evos and SXs. Hindi yan lalabas sa showrooms. Sa pricing kasi baka kainin niya yung sales ng MX-5.

Under Ford, Mazda took the rear corner seat. If the MPS were to be, who knows, Berjaya might pull us a surprise?
I agree w/ your points, balong sir.
    Again, let's await Honda's answer.

Yes, looks like Vossen VF rims.

Ritz plays in our badminton group. Maybe one day your club members can join in too.

Possible but unlikely, i asked for the 2.5 litre 3 before, or a 2 litre manual, di daw pwede indent order hahah, 1.5 at 2 litre matic lang daw. Its the euro brands that are more accommodating with indent orders, but be prepared to get quoted a whole lot more [emoji6]

Speaking of facelift, the Thais are always the more impatient. They concocted their own OA versions...here are soM3.

    Your thoughts?

Well most Euro brands are practically bespoke so orders are more of a rule rather than an exception. Kaya nga if you look at the price guides of local car magazines, when you get to the Euro sections, they're all TBA/Call for pricing. Pero mukhang malabo rin na magpasok ng Speed versions. Yung regular versions nga hirap sila mapunan ang mga orders.

Hehe....the SkyRotary is likely reserved exclusively for the RX.
They abandoned the speculated all-wheel 2.5 TurboSky Speed plans....Pffffft goes that dream many were anticipating.

Up to you of course sir, but other dealerships are more than willing to compromise - just show them your quote At the very least, they should be able to match the offer.
