I had 2006 Mz3 1.6L before. Kailangan apakan ng madiin ang gas pedal para umarangkada. mabigat ang kaha nito at matakaw sa gas . di kaya talagang underpower ang current 1.5L engine sa kaha nito?

Agree, pero mga tropa ko na napa drive ko ng 1.6l 2006 m3 ang bilis na daw mga carb type manual kasi kotse nila. Pero mabigat talaga siya at from stop talaga may kabagalan

I don't think underpowered yung 1.5l sky/1.6l mzr na mazda 3, iba lang siguro talaga setup ng transmission nya.
mababa torque nya at low rpm kaya nagmumukha syang underpowered

sa experience ko, ramdam mo talaga hatak nya from 3k to 5k rpm. at these rpms, very responsive pa rin yung engine nya. unlike yung nada-drive ko na avanza and city, lakas ng hatak from stop pero after 3k-3.5k rpm, parang wala na akong mapiga kahit I-floor ko pa yung pedal

note na from stop lang sya parang hirap, kasi from 0 rpm, when shifting to the next gear di mo na ramdam yun kasi nasa around 2k rpm ka na agad

wala pa akong 3rd gen sir pero I do have a 2nd gen 1.6l. based sa feedbacks na nababasa ko and test drive, mejo same sila ng behavior ng 1.5l na skyactiv

note na from stop lang sya parang hirap, kasi from 0 rpm, when shifting to the next gear di mo na ramdam yun kasi nasa around 2k rpm ka na agad

correct ko lang yung post ko above. not from 0 rpm but from idle rpm of 600 to 700

Napansin ko rin 'to, medyo kailangan ko talaga diinan ang accelerator para lang magaccelerate siya ng mabilis from stop (at hindi ako businahan ng mga nakapila sa traffic light).

Sa mga owners ng 2014 M3, hindi ba kayo na-aalangan sa brakes?
Parang minsan malambot, tapos minsan kahit parang madiin na hindi masyado kumakagat.
Lumang corolla kasi comparison ko kaya medyo 'di ko sure kung natural ba 'to sa mga bagong kotse.

Tsaka 'yung handbrake, sa lumang corolla konti lang kakagat na, dito parang kailangan almost sagad or totally sagad para sure ka na kakagat.

O ipapacheck ko na ba 'to sa casa (agad)?

Sir tama yung post nila, yung oooomph ng makina mararamdaman mo pa atleast 3k RPM. From stop mabibigatan talaga yan. About sa handbreak, pwede mo naman pa-adjust sa casa yan sir.

nearly the same FC sa dating kong 2006 mz3. malakas sa gas pag ganyang ang FC 7.5 km/l. I'm hoping a better FC considering skyactiv na ito. How about sa ibang taga members na naka 1.5L? Can you share your city driving FC ?

7.5 km/L was worst case scenario (i.e bumper to bumper) traffic.

It's foolish to dismiss the Mz3 1.5 as a gas-guzzler because of one user's feedback.

mine was also worst case scenario....

After a week of mixed driving (1 day to tagaytay, about 9-10 days urban) total around 300++kms in odometer. We are getting an avg of 10km/L(based on the cars own monitor). We are still yet to gas up for the full thank method of checking.

Overall average trip from Pasig-tagyatay-QC: distance around 160km. 14 Km/L

don't want to conclude anything pero i was pondering on Mr_Fixit's post above (2 or 3 pages back)

key details:

300++kms in odometer (1 day to tagaytay, about 9-10 days urban) - assume na nating 350km odo reading
trip to tagaytay - 160km
average consumption - 10 km/l
tagaytay trip consumption - 14 km/l

from the assumed total odo, we have 160km tagaytay trip and assumed 190km city drive

trip to tagaytay consumed 11.43L of gas - 160km/(14km/l)
assumed total consumed gas is 35L - 350km/(10km/l)
computed gas consumption for city drive is 23.57L - 35L minus 11.43L

190km city drive distance consumed 23.57L of gas = 8.06km/l city driving FC


owner 1 - 7.5km/l (actual - trip computer)
owner 2 - 8.06km/l (assumed/computed - trip computer) +/-0.3km/l (depende sa actual odo reading)

based on the 2 samples above, are these good numbers?
imho, for a new engine/ transmission technology, NO - the worst i got with my mzr is 8.1km/l

'Yung sakin saktong may dumating na color na sedan na gusto ko eh, so actually wala pang 1 week nakuha ko na unit.
Mas in-demand raw ang mga hatchbacks, so mas matagal siguro waiting period kapag hatch.

Sir, if tama compute ko, You are averaging around 7.4km/l sa 14 days na city driving mo
Heavy traffic ba sa route mo sir?
